Yes, I married a young wife but I lived in Philippines for 9 years before that and now we have been together for 16 years with an 11 years old daughter. I am 67 now, my life in Philippines has been wonderful. Still I find myself starting to slow down and having some health issues but she has been there for me every step of the way.
That's probably a big part of it. People value what is rare and passing away.
