I tested all size 1, 2, 3, and 5 ship weapons in Star Citizen 4.10 to find the new meta. Here are my top 4 for each weapon size, whether you're into PvE or PvP! Of course, these are just my opinions after doing plenty of bounty hunting and Gillies flight school missions in the latest patch, so keep that in mind. Let's go!

Which ship weapons are you using? Any good combos to share?

Cig really fucked all the ballistic repeaters

@DaddyHensei 1 month ago

Idk I love the look of the M series canon.

I want CIG to give the quarrel some serious love. It’s so unique looking.

I do miss the days of the Attrition meta.

If anybody wants the quick summary of the video: size 1-5 first pick dead bolt, second pick laser cannon.

@DrFried 1 month ago

Yeah I agree the s4 c788’s are lackluster this patch I’m back to the old deadys

@antonhallergren588 1 month ago

Been running stock Guns on the corsair and deadbolts on my guardian mx. Kills everything except the idris and polaris (effectivley anyway)I say that having killed a couple with both but it takes a long time and strategy

@anielloliguori6312 1 month ago

I concur regarding deadbolt IV compared to C-778. I tried both on MX The dead bolts were quicker to do geely 6, much quicker indeed on a Andromeda Aquila i found the MX with 4s were faster missions than the connei with 5s! Probably cause MX manuovres better and keep its guns on target longer even though they are smaller!

I liked your rundown on weapons. I also like you style of presentation.
I would be nice if you had some suggested loadouts for some of the more popular ships.

@Wildkarrde2484 1 month ago

No NDB30s? They drop shields so fast. I think weapons need to be taken into context of a mixed load out.

How do we know when a ships armor is down?

@talon2162 1 month ago

Size 5 winner is definitely the Leonids

@zacharypump5910 3 weeks ago

dude I haven't played in ages and was so confused I had a connie target and shot him for 20mins with AD5Bs and Revenants and it looked like I did ZERO damage. Someone on chat said its cannon's only this patch. LOL.. I don't know what CIG is thinking, do they not test this stuff?

@GabrieldeSousa96 1 month ago

C-788 is way superior to Deadbolt IV... more alpha and pen.. but where it shines is, it never overheats and thats the main advantage, Deadbolts will overheat pretty quickly, so sustained DPS on the C788 is higher, you can just keep spamming it nonstop ultil the ammo runs out.

@wdy43di 12 days ago

This is not going to age well.. do you plan on updating with the new TTK on 4.10.2?

@christophschuler6686 1 month ago

I disagree regarding ballistic cannons in smaller sizes. They are useless when you can’t sustain the damage beyond 3 or 4 Minutes of fighting. Returning to a station after every mission is just not fun.
