Man, I REALLY enjoyed this one. His part about what it was like for him on 9/11 was fascinating, he was all ready to get into the fight, like that day. But, totally get the optics of that from the embassy’s view.

I was in a B course in the Eagles in 2001 with an Australian exchange that went up to AK. I was a grey beard Capt transitioning from the EA-6. Prior to that was 111 time.

Same here, Mal. I got my F16 exchange at the same time as my sqn ldr promotion and my time as a "flt cdr" on the squadron in FL didn't count; but I wouldn't have changed it.

He never flew with one which is why he thinks it doesn't have it, but the F-15E has a navflir pod for low level at night. Includes the whole autopilot thing too so you can go hands-off.
