The biggest news for me is that SmilerBob is not actually called Bob 😂 But great job as always!

what I don't understand is people are happy to reverse onto a main road yet wont reverse onto their drive

Nice Driving episodes are always appreciated. Thanks again Ashley.

4:23 yep, most of the time there's not even a need to find a passing place on a narrow road like this with an oncoming cyclist, if you are driving, just stop and pull into the side. It's no problem for a cyclist to squeeze through a tight gap if the motorised vehicle is not moving - just wait for the cyclist to fully clear the side of the vehicle before setting off again.

"It was at a funny angle."
"It was behind you, Tyrone. When you're reversing things come from behind you."

I briefly drove a long wheel base van. I hated reversing and narrow squeezes. What was disheartening was the number of people who refused to help and some even went out of their way to make my life harder. Even when I asked for help ('budge forward a bit please') I was often met with resentment. I go out of my way to help big vehicles and these videos help me to know I'm not the only one.

9:19 Your daily reminder to also look left when turning left!

I'm a Home Shopping Delivery Driver for a supermarket and sometimes I have to reverse out of cul-de-sacs if there isn't enough room to turn around. I'll always try to reverse into the streets, but it's not always possible. The vans do have working reverse cameras, but massive blind spots when trying to look at the sides. It's very scary when trying to do it with heavy traffic as most drivers don't care and will drive past and no horn use to signal that they are there either. But you do get the very few who help me out, it's always appreciated.

And remember, if you meet another vehicle on a narrow lane and the other driver kindly reverses to sort the problem, don't chase their vehicle up the lane a couple of feet off their front bumper! Have a little patience, leave plenty of space and don't increase their stress.

6:37 I was thinking about pushing in front of the Tesla just to be more awkward 🤣

12:58 we get a Smiler Bob face reveal before GTA6!

People should remember that it is very difficult to reverse a motorbike.

had a moment like this. traffic built up to soem temp lights, and in front of me someone didn't stop before the keep clear sign, they were half on it. made sure no one was behind me and reversed about a cars width in case people were to go through.
don't know why people don't give consideration to others during high traffic situations

Thanks Ashley & happy Sunday everyone. Always love a Nice Driving. 'Can Do' on the side of the lorry in the last clip was a nice touch!
All the best.

A good one and some great examples. As we saw a caravan, I'd add, if you are driving something which you cannot reverse, don't take it anywhere where you or the other guy will have to reverse,  in case you meet yourself coming the other way! No narrow country lanes. Of course that doesn't work when the only access to the caravan site is a lane 10 feet wide, but that should be rare!

Some great clips here as usual. Remember people, the sooner the blocking traffic can clear, the sooner you reach your destination. Sometimes going back a bit means your journey is quicker then if you went forward.

Many people are scared of reversing because they find it challenging. They should practice a little more.
And many people always just keep driving until they have to stop. They completely lack the ability to read what is going on. Or they simply don't care...

people really should reverse into their driveways rather then reversing into a main road, might take a little more when parking but makes things so much safer and easier when going
that was so nice of SmilerBob in the last clip, very well done :face-red-heart-shape:

that last one has just made my day!

Here in Cornwall it’s an art form ,if you can’t reverse down our lanes you would be the laughing stock of the village.
