Only Simps would think its not going to happen again.

That’s why the betrayed spouse should end it right then and there.

If they want to keep going back to the affair partner, then let them go. They have made a decision right or wrong, but just let them go. Being disrespected in this way isn't worth the pain.

Well , my personal belief is if you catch your significant other in a relationship having an affair , immediately protect yourself financially, keep your mouth shut, and refinance everything to the hilt. The cheater has long since valued their AP above you, children and home.  You are nothing but an ATM.  So one day when your secure just disappear asif you never existed.

How many "Betrayed" spouses actually stick around? I know I didn't!

I found out years after she had an affair that lasted years at her work. She had no intention of leaving me and she eventually ended it with him. But my reality has been destroyed. I don’t know what to do. Betrayal is a very difficult thing to overcome.

Catching the cheater doesn’t address why the cheating happened.  Men usually cheat to stay in an unhappy relationship.  Women usually cheat to leave.

In both cases, neither has the maturity or integrity to face the problems openly.

Once a cheater always a cheater

Is she telling the betrayed spouse to be a simp?  That's my summary take... if any couple brings her team onboard after an affair it's a sure bet that the betrayed spouse is going to be blamed for 'not understanding' the cheating.  What crazy talk.

You are born with low moral character......so seperate yourself from these people and move on.

Well, boo hoo for the poor f'ing cheaters. There is not a person alive that doesn't know that cheating is wrong in every instance and has serious consequences. In the end, they simply don't G. A. F.

All the more reason to leave a cheating spouse as soon as you find out. Especially if the affair had been going on for more than a couple of weeks.

Get rid of the cheating spouse as soon as possible.

They'll betray you again. Not necessarily by cheating on you - there are other ways of betrayal.

Why? A boundary has been crossed. They have broken their promise - their word.

And the first time is always the most difficult - the following are easy. Think of parachuting, jumping out of of a plane for the first time and then the subsequent!

If getting rid if the spouse is too costly, i e. in no fault divorce states, understand that you must mete out justice yourself.

Involve the children, their parent has betrayad them as well as you. Do not lie to them: "Mummy/Daddy still love you".  Love does not betray. Ever.

At a minimum, NEVER forget their treachery. It is valuable Information and a lesson for you.
You now know exactly who your spouse is! A common traitor! No honour, no value!
Forgive - if you must - but NEVER forget.

I absolutely say leave. Pray hard and face the grief. I waited a year and it continued only to humiliate me after I faced so much judgement from friends and family for trying to forgive. Absolutely horrendous experience. You’re fighting a fight that started before you met that other person. Find your part in it and forgive. Clearly,  the odd cheating person turns their entire life around but it’s rare and all the others suffer in silence.

Give her freedom and ghost her forever!

Absolutely…having been the betrayed after 25 years of marriage and two kids, I say leave!
Don’t put yourself through your grief and their grief, and all the confusion. You will never get completely over this betrayal so please don’t believe that it will be put back together like it was. Move onward and upwards ❤️

Several of my oldest friends (both genders) jokingly say I’m “an alien” because I genuinely don’t understand what’s going on here. Terms like “cheating” are too fluid, meaning different things to different people, and individual people (you humans!) are far too varied to pigeonhole into ridged categories. To me, just be a bit more aware of human failings, changing individual needs and the fantastic range of possible interactions. Set boundaries that work for you and the most significant “others” in your circle, then strive to be honest and communicative. And ultimately, control yourself and try hard not to inadvertently hurt those you care about most. Forgive easily and completely, without throwing around oversimplified pop psychology labels. I am a youth of 75, with life experiences no one would ever choose. ❤+💔

The unfaithful spouse, the ADULTEROUS SPOUSE,  misses the dopamine hit, that rush, is a big reason why the adultery continues  in my opinion. The "fog" of the affair suppresses parts of the mental process that regulates judgemental functioning. Not to be ignored is the level of selfishness the betrayer is employing to justify and maintain the betrayal. Adultery is a life altering event, some people are able to put it behind them , especially if they have children. Others, with or with out children , come to the conclusion that the betrayer has made their choice as who they want to be with and divorce. Though not to be used without serious thought, divorce is , ultimately,  the "closure" that many need and seek.

When I was in my early 30s I was in a situation where with a woman who was dishonest in every way . I had two young children with her also and a friend of mine who was in his 60s at the time said to me “ dean always move forward and never go back “ like a fool I ignored his advice even though just below the surface I knew he was right . Well bottom line is he was bang on the money and it ended anyway after I wasted more time , money etc on that woman .
I found there is life after one relationship ends and it’s generally a whole lot better . It’s about staying in your own power and self respect .
