Trina the very first episode, she was rude but still a regular nice sister....but then they made her js...crazy lmao
Also beck never really sings because he went to hollywood arts for Acting, not singing like most of them. He wanted to act so, he only sang when the role needed it

Oh damn I've been watching this video for like a half hour and I went to the comments fully expecting there to be like 100+ comments, here before the hype ig??

21:50 Ik this show is meant for teens/preteens, but it will never not amaze me that Nick let the iCarly "Pointy boobs" thing slide, but this one-ups it. Telling your minor actors for a mainstream channel to talk about a boob job is insane. I have no idea how tf they got away with so much.

I am so excited for the sequel because Trina (and Daniella) deserve the redemption

21:51 no other commentator/reactor pointed this out !!!! trina literally looked down at her boobs while making the comment that she has to be 18 in order to get surgery which is glossed over !!! very messed up indeed

1:23:13 if im recalling this correctly… it seems to be fairly well-established that Rex is somehow able to act independently from Robbie. Don’t ask for a source, I don’t have one LMAOO

the episode where tori has to take the tech theatre exam... oh my god it drives me insane as a tech theatre student 😭 i couldnt imagine having an actual "exam," its all evidence based, you have to complete a variety of different performances to build your portfolio since a thirty second exam wouldn't demonstrate your ability in practice.

great video!! <3

I love your commentary and perspective on this!! So excited for part 2. Also your HS campus looks so cool and I'm happy a lot of your peers are doing well in the performing arts scene now.

fyp is too local bro... you said in florida and my mind immediately went to DA...that was a jumpscare lol

Tbh I didn't even know art high schools were a real thing

As a fellow arts highschool graduate i resonated more with the show "Backstage". It felt way more realistic and more similar to my experience in highschool. I feel like you'd like it as well.

“then covid hit and i had to spend my first year of HS” FUCK THAT MADE ME FEEL OLD 😭

dude it took me two days to watch the video and you went from hundreds to thousands of views genuinely a great video can’t wait for part 2

this is actually so crazy, i always thought it was a lot of dramatization and romantization of the school, and finding out (i'm barely at 09:15) it's pretty truth to reality at some degree it's amazing
can't wait to finish the video

I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm so excited to! I went to an arts high school in New Orleans. Parts of it reminded me of a TV show, specifically Hollywood Arts, but that could also be because I watched Victorious before attending high school, so I was influenced. But there were some magical moments. For example, sometimes I would walk to class and have to pass the jazz band just jamming out in the courtyard. I'd see theatre kids rehearsing across the street and hear a girl belting in one of the practice rooms. There was art all over the walls and our achievements were plastered on the walls. We have some notable alumni like Jon Batiste and Anthony Mackie.

This video was absolute heat! I was not expecting to find a video from a former DA kid today, I’m in technical theatre there rn
Can’t wait for part 2 and maybe more DA stuff in it!!

bro your comedy is UNMATCHED 😭🫶

I've watched a few longer videos covering the ins-and-outs of this show, but your personal experience in such a school added a really interesting perspective I'd not seen before. Hope you're able to get some interviews in for the next part, would be really cool to see. Can't wait!

this was so so cool, can't wait for part 2

I went to an arts elementary school and even then bits of this show are kinda similar mostly just the theater classes thing and showcases as well as needing to audition to get in. Though, everyone was required to do art, dance, choir, and musical theater so everyone was apart of everything. We did a winter showcase where we'd write our own monologues (once we got to write and record our own fake christmas commercial) and sing then a spring musical, then you could sign up to be part of our school's visual arts exhibit. The biggest difference though, was that it was a small school where only a handful of students really wanted to be there. It was mainly the 5th and 6th graders and then a few of the younger kids. All the popular kids that got the lead roles were going there because their parents made them while simultaneously bullying ME for being excited about us doing alice in wonderland like girl you are the mad hatter don't play.
