I own 5 Traxxas nitros , to turn if off, hold your finger over the exhaust tip , make sure the engine is up to temperature before making tuning adjustments, always start with the high speed needle first , your idle is high because you need to adjust the idle screw, your carburetor gap is too wide

Easy start charger was around when the radio shack was in business

Finish the tuning for get it fully running

I bought the same slash in the same color about at the same date as you. Also came with the same “problems”. All you need is adjust the low speed idle after the brake in and you are good to have fun. I’m super happy with my slash. I fucking love it.

I have a Jato 3.3 with a modified engine, Revo 3.3 with a OS .21tm, Nitro Rustler with a Dynamite .19, and the Rustler 4x4 BL-2S electric. All are fun in their own ways! I like the electric for the low noise level, but I’ll always have a soft spot for nitros. I always wanted to get the Nitro Slash, but I ain’t got room anymore :)

Setting idle low end tuning and high end tuning will have it running way better and it’s running decent.

That's a great fuel I run that in all my bashers welcome to the nitro club can be stressful at times but super rewarding when it works

I love Nitro but It would be so cool if they could make it so the motor could tune it self ??????

Gas and Nitro are real men’s RC. Planes helis and cars. Electric is cool and has its place. Great for kids but Nitro and Gas is where the fun and beauty of the hobby is.

Put the os. 11k carb and tuned  pipe and watch that 3.3 come to life much eaiser to tune as well

Idle speed needle, then high speed needle, then low speed needle adjustments. In that order. In wards is leaner, out wards is richer.  Leaner equals more throttle, too rich and it will bog. Prime it by turning over the engine with you finger plugging the exahust. Hpi has a good how to tutorial on how to tune their savage. Worth the watch. After run oil is essential. Drop a drop or two through the carb and turn over. Thats the essentials

Dont need to pour the fuel in like that  u can squeeze the fuel bottle, push the nozzle into the fuel, and then release it .Hole fuel up into the bottle also u should prime the car by putting your finger on the exhaust pipe  same when u wanna shut it off there is also a idle needle on the carb to set
