The absolute assassination of fashion in FASHION heavy series reboots needs to be studied

One of my issues with a lot of them is they gave back the flashy visuals that denote each girl's power but stripped the actual personality from them. Musa isn't a bubbly giggly person, Tecna isn't obsessed with her looks, Flora isn't a Gymnast so why do all their transformations convey those personalities?

As a black girl and a lifelong Winx club fan, I agree with you about Aisha’s hair in the reboot. It seems like Rainbow is trying so hard to make her hair look more “black“ that they lost the uniqueness of her original hair. I don’t mind if her hair sometimes is put in twists or braids, but Aisha’s OG wavy hair is super cute and totally her. I hope they bring it back at some point

About the butterflies in Bloom sequence, they are called Daphne irl so it’s a reference to her sister

Tecna's helmet will always be remembered
R.I.P authenticity

Intro made me realize just how nice and creative the Believix transformations were with showing off the individual powers.  They looked cool as hell

Honestly, the biggest red flag is that they did not convey any personality in these transformation. OG transformations gave you a look into who these characters were and what they were like. Here, they are just laughing and bubbly, there is barely any difference in their reactions.

The weird thing about what we've seen so far is that rainbow at it's core finally understood and realized just what made the OG so remarkable - but for some reason they still discard a lot of it clinging on to design philosophies they established during the nick era (the mandatory pink and colors in general). Maybe its their attempt to fuse the charm of old and new winx but by including the newer aesthetics they undo a lot of what made the old aesthetics so beloved.

This reboot has an issue with overusing pink-it feels like they think girls wont like the reboot if the girls arent drenched in pink even tho the og had a vraitey of colors and girls still adored it its an issue i have with other girly media reboot like monster high

And im mixed Black and tbh you can just tell aishas hairstyle was done by AI, i really dont get what they were going for with its structure

What I hate about the outfits is that:

Tecna shows too much skin and does not scream techno/cyber warrior fairy
Musa does not have headphones
Aisha is still turquoise; she is supposed to be green
The wings are too detailed. In their basic fairy forms, the wings are simple to show that they are still mastering their magic until they become strong enchantix fairies
The fact that Bloom has no tiara.

And there is no sparkle. In 2D, the clothes had so much sparkle

tbh what i really dont like about the transformation sequences is how most of it feels like filler, they show off their powers but nothing really relates to the outfit change, which itself takes like 4 seconds and happens almost off screen to the point i didn't even realised it happened.

like i wish instead of jumping around and giggling, we could get a moment when they use their powers to create the new outfits and camera would actually stop to let us look at them for a sec, cuz right now the outfit change feels like an afterthought

The new 3d art style also makes Winx look just like all the other child-audience animated series. They all have the same general vibe of "happy" with no other emotions

I really don't like how all the girls share colors with each other. It was nice in the og series where they each had a specific color centered around them.

The fact they had the audacity to pretend the artists are "painting" the concept art for the show is ridiculous😭😭😭

I definitely agree with all of this.  Another thing that many pointed out was the amont of giggling happening and too bubbly during their transformation. Its an issue for when they're are in tense scenes and need to transform, the giggling and bubbliness would kill off the vibe.

Winx and other transformations and songs like Sailor Moon or Tokyo Mew Mew had a balance of fantastical, fun with a bit of seriousness and fierce behind it for their getting ready for battle.

Tecna originally was going to have a martial arts sequence in her transformation to gain scrapped gloves and her shoes. Where they’d land on iron man style.

But when they scrapped her having gloves they decided to cut the entire scene since they were already having to cut half of it.

Also flora’s outfit was originally going to be put on by giant bee familiers. R.I.P to the giant bees💔

04:59 MAGIC WINX, GYMNASTIX!!! Tranforms into a somehow worse version of Magic of Sports from the comics

From corporate fanfiction to AI generated fanfiction. It can only go downhill from here.

Flora's transformation is giving me a bit of "What Else Can I Do?" from Encanto. Still too energetic for her character, but at least it reminded me of something much more pleasing than these abominations. I can already imagine the dolls...

This is a sidenote as an artist I always find it so funny when they have clips of the artists “drawing/designing” and I can literally tell they’re just erasing a top layer to show the finished version underneath 😭😭😭

Someone pointed it out in a tiktok video but omg now that I think about it, it makes me just a bit angrier. Techna's martial arts moves were a call back to power rangers and other super sentai shows that use martial arts in their power up sequences!!!! The fact there isn't a call back in the new transformation is pretty disappointing
