Great reaction! More Queen please!

Freddie Mercury was born to stage, and Queen's live performances were on the highest level.

Thank you for your reaction. I was there on this incredible day. This song was always a duet between Freddie and the crowd. RIP  dear Freddie 😢

This band were before their time they were amazing

I was at Wembley that night, best gig ever.

I love to see john singing 😅

Freddie respected his parents' religion even though he himself was not very religious (as far as I understand). His background is slightly different from that of the other members.
Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara, in Gujarati ફ્રારુક બુલ્સારા) was born on the island of Zanzibar in the famous Stone Town of Zanzibar City on the east coast of Africa. His family were Zoroastrian Parsees from India. His father worked for the British government as a treasurer of the Supreme Court. At the age of eight, Farrokh was sent to Bombay, India, to an English boarding school, where he was nicknamed Freddie by his schoolmates. After finishing school, Freddie returned to his parents in Zanzibar. The Bulsara family fled the political turmoil in Zanzibar to England in 1964.

The original Queen was together from 1970 to 1991, until Freddie's death. John retired from the music business completely in 1997. Brian and Roger continued from 2004 to 2009 together with Paul Rodgers under the name Queen + Paul Rodgers and Queen + Adam Lambert from 2011 to 2024. If I understand correctly, they no longer go on major tours

Check out these Queen performances: White Queen live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975. There is also a longer more complete version of Lap of the Gods at Hammersmith 75 as well. Under Pressure and Love of my Life live at Wembley 86. Who Wants to Live Forever live at Budapest. Dragon Attack and Save Me live at Montreal 1981.

Yes we have heard we will rock you and we are the champions, let's go on, let's do my Queen, liar, black Queen, Queen and many more. Let's get on with all the other greats.❤❤❤❤❤❤Freddie Forever ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I never knew this song until UTUBE reactions & it's 1 of my favorites now!! Freddy's vocals r striking! He always includes the audiance in Queen concerts! Great front man! Of course he needs the 3 other most talented musicians on their instruments & backup vocals. Brian & Roger r amazing singers! They all write Queen's songs! This band is unique from ANY other!! Ty. 💜🎶🎵🎼💯

The other In The Lap Of The Gods is very different from this one.  Both beautiful.  Brian and Roger eventually started touring again as Queen + first with Paul Rogers (Bad Company and Free) and later with Adam Lambert.  Neither singer has tried to be Freddie Mercury or even to sound like Freddie, neither Roger nor Brian wanted that, they just wanted to go back and do those spectacular shows and their Queen music.  There are a lot of people who are haters and disapprove of the Queen+ Adam Lambert shows but for those who never had the opportunity to see Queen, it is a celebration of Queen music and the spectacle that is a Queen Concert.  There may not be anymore tours, Brian has had some health issues and really wants to stay local and spend time with his family.  50 year of touring has been a beautiful experience for him but he no longer wants to deal with the downsides of touring.  So they may do a residency in Las Vegas, Brian has said that he was discussing that with the Sphere there.  Whether or not they will decide to do it is still up in the air.

How amazing and brilliant is this ❤

FYI….
This song was the first segment in a three-part medley:
“In The Lap of The Gods Revisited”
“Seven Seas of Rhye”
“Tear It Up”
…You AT LEAST, NEEEED to see the next segment:
“SEVEN SEAS OF RHYE”…
Because Freddie was about to play a piano intro FASTER than the speed of light!!

One of my many favourite songs l dont know why but always brings tears to my eyes he should still be here! He was a beautiful soul ❤ Brian and Roger carried on performing up until very recently wheh Brian had a stroke but hes recovered enough to play his guitar. Roger is also still performing as far as l know. I never watch Queen with replacements for Freddie doesnt seem right! Just rwmembered Adam Lambert off AGT sang with them for a few years but l never listened 😂  i did hear Paul Rogers sing with them and nothing like Freddie but a great singer. Hes irreplaceable! Theres a concert with Brian May singing "love of my life" and near tne end a holograme of Freddie appears its very emotional watching it. Pleased l found your channel again

There are two versions of this song they are the first and last tracks on the "sheer heart attack " album side two

Listen to the Sheer Heart Attack album - it will blow you away.  Lap of the Gods is from this album.  Coupled with Night at the Opera and you will understand more about the amazing talent and variety of songs that they sung and performed.

Freddie grew up in the Zoroastrian religion (his funeral was Zoroastrian).  My understanding (if I have this right) is that Zoroastrianism is the world’s oldest religion that believed in one God (monotheism).
In the Nativity story - when the three wise men traveled to visit Jesus - the three wise men were Zoroastrian.
Anyway, Freddie wrote about God and Jesus in several songs:
“ALL GOD’S PEOPLE”
“JESUS”
“THE MIRACLE”
“ONE VISION”
“MUSTAPHA”
“MADE IN HEAVEN”
“THANK GOD IT’S CHRISTMAS”
Freddie’s lyrics talk to God in:
“SOMEBODY TO LOVE”
and
“IN MY DEFENSE”

If you want to get a real feel for Queen you need to see Live Aid 1985... widely considered the best live performance of all time... 20 minutes of musical perfection! Queen still tours but without John Deacon the bassist and of course Freddie because we lost him so young. I've seen Queen with Freddie, absolutely the best thing I've ever seen and w/o... currently they have Adam Lambert as the lead singer. It's good with Adam, but once you've seen and heard Freddie, no one else quite measure up, no offense to Adam.

Now watch the full Live Aid set of some 22 minutes. Charity concert at Wembley Stadium UK twinned with a concert in Philadelphia USA. You won't regret it in the slightest. Queen 👑 walked away victorious! They stole the show! Freddie had the audience in one hand and the microphone in the other hand!
When you watch the set, you will know who Queen is.
You'll definitely recognize some of their songs, and you didn't even know they were theirs.

Just love this song.  Queen definitely in theit best Live. Watch also: Live Aid 1985 and Who wants to live Forever Live Budapest 1986.
