Welcome back to Free2Roam! ⛏️💛🇦🇺
Come with me into the heart of the Western Australian Goldfields, where life is wild, remote and unpredictable — and beneath the ancient red earth, there is still GOLD waiting to be found.
In this adventure, I take you along for a journey through the changing conditions of the Goldfields as the seasons begin to turn. From cold mornings and changing weather to rising temperatures, spring wildflowers, relentless flies and snakes beginning to emerge, every day out here brings a new challenge.
But that's all part of life on the Goldfields.
Armed with the Minelab GPZ 8000, I'm continuing the search for those elusive deeper and larger nuggets. There are plenty of targets, plenty of holes and plenty of moments when you wonder if the next signal will finally be the one.
And then…
the detector sounds off.
What follows are some incredible moments of discovery, including some beautiful gold specimens and some of the larger gold finds I've been lucky enough to uncover.
The Goldfields can be harsh, but it is also an incredibly beautiful part of Australia. The landscapes, colours, wildlife, weather and sheer isolation make every day an adventure.
There are highs.
There are lows.
There are days when the gold seems impossible to find.
And then there are those unforgettable moments when everything comes together and you see GOLD sitting in the bottom of the hole.
This is what life is really like out here chasing gold in the Western Australian Goldfields.

Very sad to see the end of the season has been a breath of fresh air watching your progress :)
Hopefully next season we will see more gold from you. Hopefully i will get a 8k of my own but if not i will be out there with my six and new caravan :) thanks for the uploads.
