Another great video. And very interesting information on dealing with snake bites. Thank you!

Even though I have been subscribed from near the start of "In Search Of" this is the first video for 6/7 months to appear in my viewing list that Youtube suggests.
Keep the good work going and the videos coming.
Thanks

Glad to see you back buddy

Nice loot, Jason! Beautiful area, and the bird calls are so lovely. Those rocks looked heavy!

Howdy Jason . Nice to see you at it again. Love your videos and great advice on snake bites. Stay away from those brown snakes they are nasty beggers. Cheers mate and lucky hunting 👍

Classification... easier term than Categorisation 👍

That intro is getting tighter and tighter keep practising/playing brother. Good gear helps too.

It’s me !
My name is Gia
Thankyou Jason for answering me questions, it does scare me. Re snakes.

1:22 it's not a sieve to categorise, it's a classifier to classify.

Great video Jason, does this area have a walk to get to ?

It is good, Jason, to look at the basics of alluvial gold prospecting, and that anyone who has enjoyed the hobby over many years realises that part of the reasoning for engaging in the activity is precisely the activity, beyond the potential gold reward. It can be very physically taxing, but if you find some gold, you'll keep going beyond your expected point of exhaustion.. and it's not just that it has it's rewards from the toil at the golden soil, you're enjoying all of nature's gifts on offer, for free, of beauties, rich and rare, fresh air, a ten-year "membership" fee, cheapest around, a "permission" to engage with and participate in histories, cultures... There's a lot that goes along with just the shovel and the pan! Raised or dropped riffles?! You could do with a pry bar to those large rocks, just saying... How's the desire for histories from metal detecting? I think I'd suggested a bluestone channel to one of the bays you'd fished at, that the convict-era built environments to Sydney, Parramatta, early parts, the thrill of the chase for half and full sovereigns, holey dollars and dumps, and the early "proclamation" coinage from all over the world, and England's old coppers and silvers, that had the earliest of the "currency lads and lasses" had to make do with... There's "in search of" stories to be told through detection from researching varied sources, angles of inquiry, personal, cultural, social, economic, and a magic wailing wand. Before the thought disappears, from stories of shells used to make household objects, tissue box cover in the shape of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, made from colourful shells, but that they were made by indigenous Sydneysiders, and sold at a market site at La Perouse. Was it on the beach, by a large public park? Have you an example in your family's collections, or can find an example at a charity shop, or need to go up a level to an antiques centre? Pertinent stories to be told. Keep on educating and entertaining, Jase! (Snake venoms acting mainly via the lymphatic system, that's cleared this up for me, more than innumerable past talk on the subject, how's that for pertinent, and qualitatively informative! Take it myself to aim at having a higher QI, qualitatively informative! Cheers, beard or nay beard! 😂

panned 4 specs one day ill get a 2x spec

that first hard tap is not necessary, or swirling the material. Just stratify, lean the front down a bit, baby tap if you like, and pull back slowly so the water gently and evenly washes off material and repeat till you see gold then stop. Wash out the black sands from back of the pan and stratify again. Then Start over. you can add a little shaking motion while you pull back slowly. Don’t swirl guys
