Just curious, what is the gauge of the final hat? Cables pull in a lot and have a significant effect on gauge, so as you were doing your "wrong way" gauge calculation I was thinking that this isn't going to end well, it will be too small. But you got away with it. I'm wondering if it's because of the purl stitches on the ribber; there's extra length introduced when the yarn crosses between the beds. I'm guessing that that made the purl stitches looser than your gauge swatch, which compensated for the cables being tighter.

Loved the two cameras setting :) is always so dificult to knit cables with a knitting machine? I was looking forward to knit a sweater full of cables. :(

Hi! Actually it isn't that difficult to do such amount of cables on two-bed knitting if you use Passap's technique. 1 row BEFORE crossing needles, put into work two adjacent needles, that you will be dropping the next row, so you have extra slack, and stress doesn't acumulate on the needles
