"We weren't white, black, or Hispanic. We didn't belong to any category they could sell our music to."

Both of these albums, Hypnotized and Mesmerize are one of the best rock albums in the rock industry. Period.

"sad statues" "vicinity of obscenity" "soldier side"

"Lost in Hollywood" by System of a Down explores the dark, disillusioning side of fame, focusing on the exploitation of naive individuals chasing stardom in Los Angeles. It critiques the superficiality of the entertainment industry, painting a picture of Hollywood as a place that breaks people, highlighting themes of lost innocence and the harsh realities behind the glitz.

Soldiers Side is an amazing song off the same album. A must listen even in your free time

I'm so glad you're back to SOAD

Hypnotize and Mesmerize are two of the best albums ever made imo. This track is goated

Never heard anyone react to this song,  so happy to see it. These guys have range and dynamics,  i love that you react to the harmonies right away.  And yes,  the lyrics are great,  too.

I love this band SO much!

So, they came out with 2 albums at the same time….”mesmerize,” and “hypnotize.” The CD cases actually attach to each other, and could be considered one album… I usually listen to both together….. I urge you to do “Sad Statue.”

Daren Malakian the guitarist and singer to this song grew up as the son of a Hollywood Actress. Yes, Darens mom was an actor and they lived in a prestigious Hollywood neighborhood. As Daren grew up; he witnessed everything his mother and others there had gone threw just to continue making it there in that evil cabalistic place called Hollywood.

I always enjoy seeing your reactions to System. They're one of my favorite bands for all the aspects,  music, message, and voice

They went from dope ass metal to actual art.

Serj and Daron wrote this, I absolutely LOVE how anti government and industry they are!!!

This is one of the best albums ever. One of their only like 4-5 albums they made. Havent made an album since like 07. One of the best metal bands ever. Legendary

Daron Malakian is the name you were searching for. 😎👍

✌️😎

Every time I comment on ANY song from SOAD, it starts with "this is one of the best songs" and then I'm like wait I say that about every song of theirs. But it's because all of their songs hit so fucking hard. In one way or another every single song will send chills down your spine.

I don't know if you've done it yet but "question" by system of a down.

NEED a Radio/Video review by them next!

Daron’s said it’s one of his favorite songs they’ve made

this whole album was meant to be listened to straight through... very much a story album. Great reaction

I'd LOVE to see more SOAD from you. This is one of my favorite bands and I think you'd continue to love what you hear.
