This whole band is so good. The horn players are outstanding. The keyboard player is amazing, a young guy. Gerry Brown, the drummer, plays incredibly. Ray Gomez on guitar is a virtuoso. Their back and forth on Quiet Afternoon is one for the ages. Stanley Clarke, what a career.

Raymond Gomez❗️ 🎸 🔊

I believe I saw Stanley this year, 1977 at the Berkeley Community Theater. This is a great flashback to those wonderful days. (2 years out of high school)!

One of the greatest concerts I've ever experienced with The Pat Methany Band as the opener! Boston Music Hall 1976

I was there and  I shall never forget this concert .

minchia che bravi !!!!!!!!!!!!! concerto pazzesco , sul serio !

Awesome

With decent headphones this is a pretty clean recording. It’s a pretty faithful soundboard grab. It is the type of production that you can’t really hear, or can? The levels are kinda janked out in a few places, a few feedback screeches… you know the type that happen at most live shows. I’m a sucker for a flub, or a bad EQ getting smoothed out in real time on the recording. I think those are the little flourishes that make you feel like a part of the show. To be a little cliché, feeling connected to the history of recent but wholly different ‘times’ is a funky ass reminder that funk can bring us together. At the deep, ancient, pre-language dances to communicate like bees, to groove is to be human. We were meant to keep it on the One. Ancient funk, rhythm, connection to the All, All are Connected. Funk yea, oh my brother, and you hath funked for many. 🙏✌️

Peter Robinson would go on to appear on many Brand X albums and even a bunch of Phil Collins solo albums. He's a case study on how a musician was able to have a successful career in the 70s AND the 80s.

What a beautiful surprise, thanks for sharing ❤❤❤

Gerry Brown, great drummer, played also on  RTF Musicmagic.
Here uses North toms, just like Alan White at that time

The incredible Ray Gomez, criminally under appreciated, and one can only wonder what he would have gone onto create if his demons hadn’t have got the better of him🎸🤘🏻🙏

Merci, j'y étais.
