I'm glad Jaleel White didn't officially come back after the DiC cartoons, especially for Sonic Generations if the rumors are true; his Sonic voice was already waning pretty badly by Underground in '99, mostly because he voices the other two 'hog protagonists.

Reminder that big studio was convinced sewing in the mouth of DEADPOOL, THE MERC WITH THE MOUTH was a good idea, even after THE ACTOR PLAYING HIM told them the audience will hate it.

Hot take I think Sonic looks better with two separate eyes rather than the cyclops eye with two pupils he has in the games. It works really well for his movie design because he’s way more expressive. As far as him having blue arms I don’t really mind the blue arms it kinda just depends on the design.

You were NOT a weird kid!! You were creative and artistic. You still are.❤

You must be a psychic because I was just trying to find the realistic sonic rabbit-hole yesterday for some reason as if we don't have 3 live action sonic movies already

Has anyone talked about the irony of Sonic, a symbol of freedom and justice, being friends with a cop?

I think the big mouth on sonics model makes him look like sonic adventures model

1:39 Basest thing ive ever heard

The fanfilms model is actually js a recylce of a really old unrigged fan model, you'd probably know that fan model as the same model used in those really old futuristic-hub sonic in minecraft animated videos.

Both in the fanfilm and the minecraft videos actually altered the mesh's mouth to add a mouth, as the original fan model didnt have a mouth at all.

I’m not joking for people saying that Ugly Sonic was a marketing stunt, and saying that no company would actually approve with that kind of design, needs a reminder that Paramount is the same company that agreed and greenlit the Michael Bay TMNT designs and even greenlit the early concept designs of the turtles and story for that movie before it was leaked and changed

If the fans couldn't even survive Ugly Sonic, I can't even imagine how they would have survived the Jimmy Hedgeman movie.

Basically, it was a Mario 1994-style movie where Sonic was a boy named Jimmy Hedgeman whose father was kidnapped by Dr. Ellie and who gradually transforms into Sonic as the film progresses.

We would also have had Knuckles, or should I say "Kentar," since that was supposed to be his name—a giant with dreadlocks who lives on an island with other mutants

10:18 It’s funny because Movie Sonic’s entire character is literally just Silver. He’s young, powerful but inexperienced, optimistic but insecure, loudmouthed and childish, and his character arc has been learning how to cope with hardship and hold onto hope.

Game Sonic, meanwhile, is almost the exact opposite character in terms of his temperament: perfectly fine on his own, infinitely more self-assured, and just about the living embodiment of confidence as a character.

You just unlocked a hidden memory in me. I remember something about a youtube movie i watched when i first discovered internet and thought that was sonic the movie

If Sonic still had the original movie design, I don't think we would even have sequels.

Sadly, I think the reason why they didn’t opt for making the films entirely animated is due to the stigma that animated films get in the movie industry. Unless they’re very grotesque, they’re mostly regarded as family flicks, and that’s definitely not what Paramount (initially Sony) were wanting from the film when they picked it up. They were wanting an action/adventure series in the similar vain of the Fast and Furious franchise.

But fortunately, with the movies being a major success, it seems like Paramount is considering a fully animated film based on the Sonic franchise. I just how the merger doesn’t do any harm to it.

I was just happy we were getting a Sonic movie when I was like 14-15 now that I'm an adult I realize we dodge a bullet with that hideous first design lmao

This vid was so funny that my jaw hurts, I’m subbing

4:46 even hotter take: I like both, let's just... give him both depending on what looks better at the moment.

I like the fan movie design

This Sonic model by blue core studios gives me Daxter vibes
Also That's where that Fingers the echidna Creepypasta came from 6:44
