Having an accessory altmode is honestly the best way to do size-shifters.

At this point, the people who are genuinely angry over Megatron NOT being a gun anymore can probably just purchase a real Walter P38 for their shelf display.

Given his alt mode is completely different from his G1 cartoon self, the fact that the bot mode is so clean and screen accurate is nothing short of amazing.

"you over-glorified targetmaster..."
--- Starscream, whispering under his breath about Megatron, in a fan-animation parody that I don't remember the name.

I’m still surprised how the tank doesn’t look like a simplified version of the Combiner Wars leader and is distinct from the Devastation model with the exposed shins in tank mode

I'm just glad we finally have a definitive Megatron that even fans don't have to force themselves to like. That Siege was definitely a tough pill to swallow for years.

it should be noted that part of the reason that bill was passed is because of several incidents of police or others mistaking a toy gun in a child's hand (including the Megatron toy itself) for a real gun, and responding... well not accordingly, but the point is people were shooting (with real guns) at kids because they thought the kid's toy gun was a real gun

0:52 it’s actually rather fitting, he has to trust his soldiers to aim him for the good of the decepticon cause, where as as Galvatron he doesn’t need to or have an inclination to, as he’s a walking laser cannon, it’s a nifty duality.

Tired of the argument that Megatron's gun mode requires him to be held by his backstabbing minions. The 3-part pilot miniseries, retroactively called "More than Meets the Eye", shows that Megatron did not need to be held by anyone to aim and shoot. He transformed, shot at the autobots, then transformed back.

Also the most logical iteration of Megatron would not be a tank, but some big ass form of( self-propelled) artillery. This would also give the designers the opportunity to consistently integrate the Man from UNCLE parts as part of the Megatron toy experience.

0:43 It’s not seen often in the show, but Megatron is actually able to fire himself when in gun mode - examples being in the first season’s opening sequence, and in The Ultimate Doom, Part 3. He maybe has others wield him for increased accuracy or something. 😆

With the figure, I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with him being a tank. I understand and accept Hasbro’s legal dilemma, I appreciate the gun mode accessory, and I just think toy tanks are a lot of fun. Plus, I have a number of gun Megatron figures already, so I can enjoy them as well! So excited to get him!

He can easly passby as that devastation design lol

2:54 I still think this is stupid. Sci-fi toy blasters like Shockwave and Sixshot have NO POSSIBLE WAY of ever being mistaken for a real handgun, so the fact that Hasbro still feels the need to change it boggles my mind.

There are alternatives to getting a gun Megs. Still wish Romulus was a tad bigger.

The 07 Movie House Raid at the end was good 😂. As someone who doesn’t personally buy 3P unless it’s an upgrade kit, I’m looking forward to the next video!

Elpizo's theme was a pleasant surprise

@evank02 1 year ago

Even the tread pieces on the heels aren’t that bothersome to me, G1 Megs does have gray blocks in that spot on the back of his feet so it kinda works out

@MetalCheeseDeathAttack 1 year ago

As much as I’d prefer one that transforms into a gun, I think this figure is amazing given the circumstances. I like the Siege mold, but this is a huge upgrade.
