What I find rather interesting about not only BODi but all the other "former" MLMs switching business models is that it really shows how the MLM business is a PRYAMID scheme because if it was really about selling the product to people then this shift should not be as big of a hit to the "partners" or whatever other titles the companies use for their huns. I mean all they would have to do is keep selling the product and not offering the business "opportunity" as much.

I'm sympathetic for these people losing their income, but it's still gross to see them crying on camera for attention over the fact they can't harvest the funds from their downlines any longer but trying to pretend they're sad about "losing a community" 🤢. Like all I hear when they talk about how "they got to spend time with their babies" is "I didn't have to work a legitimate job because my downline paid my bills for me."

These are the same people that bark at us about how “the corporate world” and a boss can fire you at any minute; you are at their mercy; there’s no job security,; etc etc. Funnily enough, karma is knocking (finally). Hopefully, if their downline stays put, those poor people may actually benefit a little finally.

That click bait was rude, ma'am. 😂

They started 26 years ago to reverse the obesity trend, yet it has worsened with time. Sooooo... what the hell are we talking about 😂

That upcoming Bodi cruise is going to be so depressing

I like how they say their teams and communities are gone like all those people just died. They are still there, they can still support each other, they just aren't earning money from each other. Imagine being a low level distributor and hearing your upline act like you just vanished into thin air.

I’m so glad BODi is no longer an MLM. And honestly, I don’t feel bad or sorry for any of them. 💯

Carl is so, so ANGRY about losing HIS money, lol!

He believes in this model? He believes this model is his only chance to turn his profits around.

I love their “free earned trip” spiel. It’s not free. You have to pay travel expenses to get on the ship- whether you drive or fly and other expenses. Also does anyone else find it kind of weird that these MLM companies about health and fitness and beauty products have male CEOs/aPresident who are surrounded by all these women at conventions, trips, etc???

@Lol0KeLs 1 year ago

So basically, he’s changing the business model to what the higher ups tell their down lines… that “if you work hard and sell, you can earn so much money without even recruiting! You don’t need a team, the products are amazing…. Etc etc” it actually happening now - guess who’s the MOST pissed? 🤑 I love this for everyone

The girl toward the end who wrote her Bodi experience, something she said really had me scratching my head. I have a background in psychology and have studied personality traits/trauma/abuse, etc for over a decade. Her use of “trauma bond” is grossly incorrect. Taken from psychology today: “ A traumatic bond, or a "trauma bond," is an attachment formed between two people who unconsciously bond to each other based on shared trauma, which ultimately leads to relational betrayal and heartbreak.”

In her case, prior to leaving an mlm, the leader would pressure & talk down to their recruits making them feel awful. They in turn would work extra hard to try to gain back the kindness they used to receive. If they make the leader money then all is forgiven. The cycle would happen over and over with that trauma bond just getting stronger and stronger.

Or another example. My friend and I are trying to decide where to eat. I’m craving a salad and they want fish, I don’t like fish. The friend gets very angry, leaves, and ghosts me for days. I desperately want them to be nice to me so I make a huge show of apolozing by buying them an expensive gift they wanted and take them to a fish restaurant. Then everything is happy and rainbows for awhile until something happens again. The cycle continues and the trauma bond deepens.

Bonding over shared traumas can be a healthy experience. But getting Bodi people together for trauma bonding would mean they would all just end up traumatising each other to the point that it quickly escalates and takes over their lives. Hopefully she didn’t mean it that way.

Sorry for the rant. I feel bad for victims of abuse/trauma when terminology is used incorrectly by the abusers because it makes the actual victims feel invalidated. Stepping off my tiny soapbox ☺️

The thing that always got me about BODi is that they sell things you can find online for free. There are so many amazing workouts for free on YouTube and so many amazing videos on meal planning and learning about nutrition for free. I literally do my pilates at home for free and make my own smoothies for a fraction of the price of BODi. Just from a budgetary perspective, it makes no sense.

I was WAITING for this video about Bodi! It's channels like yours that have opened the eyes of individuals who were brainwashed into joining these mlms. They got out and the business model can no longer sustain itself.
