It's not every day you get a log this perfect. This giant aspen was a dream for any sawyer – wide, straight, and full of potential for high-value slabs and lumber. Our first thought was about the incredible furniture that could be made from it. But the client had a very different plan. He asked us to do something that goes against every instinct: ignore the profit and cut this entire beautiful log into simple, rough firewood blocks. Why? Because for our client, the real joy isn't in owning a finished piece of wood, but in the timeless, satisfying process of splitting his own firewood. It's a hobby, a passion, and something he valued far more than the log's market price.
