Felling 2 Trees: Stihl MS 881 Field Troubleshooting & House-Side Pruning | MS 261 & Echo CS 3510L

Welcome back to the Is_Woko channel.

In this video, we document the felling of 2 trees, each requiring a distinct technical approach and dealing with unexpected field equipment maintenance. To complete the operation, our crew deployed three chainsaws: the powerhouse Stihl MS 881, the versatile Stihl MS 261, and the agile Echo CS 3510L.

Here is the operational breakdown:

1. The First Tree (Direct Felling & Stihl MS 881 Troubleshooting):
The first tree offered a clear drop zone, allowing us to drop it directly without pruning the canopy. However, during the heavy cut, our Stihl MS 881 began bogging down and losing power. A quick on-site inspection revealed that the air filter was completely packed with fine sawdust. Once cleared and serviced on the spot, the saw roared back to full power and finished the fell smoothly.

2. The Second Tree (Pre-Felling Canopy Pruning Near House):
The second tree stood dangerously close to a residential home. To eliminate the risk of branches striking the roof, our crew systematically pruned and dismantled the entire canopy first, significantly reducing upper crown weight before making the final directional drop.

Watch the raw, unscripted footage of how our crew handled chainsaw troubleshooting and precision felling from start to finish. Thank you for watching and supporting our channel!

The trees we fell are legally purchased from local farmers for industrial use and are not sourced from protected forests. These premium logs are bound for Jepara, Central Java, where they will be transformed into luxury solid wood furniture, massive live-edge tables, and world-renowned intricate carvings.
