I learned to drive at Franklin canyon when I was 15 , that was 1978 , now its a walking trail .

Canyon Resevoir. My buddies and I used to race our Firebirds in The 1970’s on the dirt trail which was just insane fun. I heard that road is paved over now.

Franklin Reservoir, between Beverly Hills and Bel Air. Many scenes in tv shows and movies filmed here including “Lassie”, “ Bonanza”, “Ozzie and Harriet”, the opening of “The jimmy Stewart Show”, *The Andy Griffith Show”, etc.

In 1991-92 I was a motorcycle messenger in LA working for Security Despatch. I remember one day while working thinking about how if someone in my business had a little show on MTV just riding around So Cal and narrating what they’re seeing that could be entertaining. Shubunkin Goldfish. They're hardy pond fish. Very affordable too. The larger ones can cost as little as $25.

I was amazed to see the stables up in those hills when my girlfriend took me there. She grew up in Hollywood and knew all the secret places. Took me to "The Four Seasons" restaurant for my birthday, we saw Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon. I was really impressed.
