My Dad and I saw the F-117 in 84 while deer hunting near Troy peak. It flew over us about 200',following the terrain. It went into the valley and did a 180° turn to fly straight back over us. This time the pilot saw us in the morning sun and bugged out of sight straight up! I'll never forget that. In the 70's, we'd hang a plumb bob from the chandelier when they tested underground nuclear weapons, 90 seconds from detonation till the Bob swung around a paper plate we used to measure the size of the weapon. Thanks for the videos and I am now subscribed!

My father was in the Air Force. We moved to Nellis in 1989. He worked at TTR during the week and came home to Nellisnon the weekends. He worked on the f117. After desert storm they moved the f117 to holloman afb in New mexico. He retired in 95. The f117 was the last plane he worked on in the air force.

That Jazzy tune was Banana by Brother Mister.
Apparently a 2025 investigation by a researcher on the Dreamland Resort forum identified the person apparently responsible: Dane Gentry, an electrical engineer who worked for JT4 as an RF measurements engineer. He had previously been a member of the college band Brother Mister. The claim is that albums by the band were loaded onto FM transmitters used around the test site.

Hearing the call sign Sabre42 and dreamland is one of the coolest things ever. Imagine flying into groom lake and getting off a Janet and you walk down to the tarmac and somebody says “welcome to dreamland”

Anytime you hear land at your own risk at a ramp usually mean a helo, due to the fact the tower can't see the location to clear it for you,

The FM broadcast on 99.1 you hear also contains what's called the FM Subcarrier. It's a data channel that enables your car radio to show you the text about the artist, song name, station ID, etc. In this case it is encrypted data. The security vehicles tune in. They probably saw you and let them all know.
