it makes total sense
acts of 'ibadah =  acts of worship
''abd = worshipper

I think many people here dont understand that the Quran is never translated, it has been revealed in Arabi. All "translations" are in fact tafsirs. The word 'abd for muslims is clear cut understood as worshipper, its a noble term (slve is not). Acts of 'ibadah doesnt mean acts of slvry, but acts of *worship*.

It is correct to say slave of Allah. Abd means slave and Allah is our owner we are property of Allah

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do not refer to anyone as ‘my slave,’ for all of you are the slaves of Allah. Rather, you should refer to him as ‘my young man.’ The servant should not refer to anyone as ‘my lord,’ but rather he should refer to him as ‘my master.’”

Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2249

Funny how hiveminded the madkhalis are. We are slaves of Allah. What an honour.

Abu Hurairah narrated that:
The Prophet (6) said: "Whoever says in the morning and in the evening 'Glory is to Allah and with His Praise (Subhan Allah, wa bihamdih)' a hundred times, none shall bring better than him on the Day of Judgment except one who did the same as him, or increased upon it." Jami at-Tirmidhi, 3469

Very beneficial.

Why translating it purely as "worshiper" misses the point
If you translate 'Abd merely as "worshiper," you reduce the relationship with Allah to an isolated act: someone who prays or fasts is a worshiper only at the moment they are praying or fasting.
However, the Salaf explained that man is an 'Abd (slave/servant) of Allah in every aspect of his life — 24 hours a day, whether he is sleeping, working, eating, or praying.
Allah owns you completely
You are dependent on His sustenance
You are subject to His laws

We are lowly to Allah. He is the most high….. careful of kibr

"يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ أَنتُمُ ٱلْفُقَرَآءُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِيُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ"

بارك الله فيك و أحسن الله عليكم i was looking for this answer from a good time

Compared to the majesty of our lord we are lowly.  Ima slave to my lord's will, so i have no problem with it. However, Allah knows best. Gotta drop that pride.

This knowledge is needed. Everyone and their uncles use "slave of Allah" all over social media and in khutbas. Thank you once again for clarifying these things for us English speaking muslims. We need this. We need this. Please don't stop teaching us.

Alhamdu-Lillaah
No matter what these people say, but I am not at all ashamed to call my self as a "Slave of Allah" as He alone is my Rabb who has granted me the existence, He alone controls all my affairs and to Him alone I will return...

Worshipper and servant are better words

جزاك الله خيرا

So when Prophet closed eyes of Sahaba and told to others " Who want to buy this Slave ?" (meaning Slave of Allah, He's free in Dunya) why he refers like actual Slave ?

Jazakallahu khair sheikh, for this enlightment.
