The 2027 Audi Q9 is here, and Audi’s biggest SUV ever is bringing a very different interpretation of full-size luxury. In this video, we take a detailed look at the new Audi Q9 Quattro, from its imposing exterior design and advanced lighting technology to its high-tech interior, three-row practicality, performance, driving assistance, and premium features.
The Q9 sits above the Q7 and Q8 in Audi’s SUV lineup and introduces a larger, more spacious flagship designed to compete in the world of BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GLS, and Cadillac Escalade. But size is only part of the story. Audi has focused heavily on technology, comfort, lighting, software, and creating a cabin that feels more like a luxury lounge than a traditional SUV.
One of the most interesting elements is Audi’s digital lighting technology. The Q9’s Matrix LED headlights can provide visual communication on the road, while its curved digital OLED rear lighting brings an entirely different level of interaction and visibility. Inside, Audi offers a huge panoramic roof, a curved OLED display setup, passenger-screen technology, premium materials, advanced voice assistance, and a powerful Bang & Olufsen audio system.
Under the hood, the U.S.-spec Q9 features a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 producing 429 horsepower, quattro all-wheel drive, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and mild-hybrid assistance. Audi quotes a 0–60 mph time of 4.9 seconds. The performance-focused SQ9 takes things further with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 producing 591 horsepower and a claimed 0–60 mph time of 3.8 seconds.
The Q9 also combines adaptive air suspension and rear-wheel steering with a spacious three-row cabin, seven-seat configuration, flexible second-row seating, and an available six-seat layout.
