Love it!  I have been aware of these principles and I appreciate having them spelled out.  Thank you!

Your prices are too low. Doubling it is more realistic.

A good report, but 72 hours in relatively mild weather is one thing, 48 hours in harsh weather is quite another. I'm from Canada, and the worst thing that kills is the cold and frostbite.

Among the items I would add are a mug, either enameled metal or ceramic, as well as bouillon cubes and tea bags. (If possible, wrap them in vacuum-sealed packaging.) Say what you will, but a good pocketknife helps. A compass too. And what about a small first-aid kit? Sure, good duct tape and petroleum jelly help, but you shouldn't underestimate the risk of infection. Finally, a good length (3 to 5 meters) of rope to build a proper shelter with construction bags and duct tape.

You could get both a Bic lighter and a ferro rod, then you have options. The contractors bag will also solve the  evaporation problem. Bic lighters cost more than a dollar.

A Condom? I'm sorry but many had a bad surprise of the condom popped and all the water was spilled.

You want wool bandana in the north  winter

This video assumes you're not bugging out because you have to and have no place certain to go to.

We  have most oof the stuff. We need to pick up a couple of things.

Pity they no longer make strike anywhere matches... Those are priceless during survival...

made some for people that are close to me! 😇 👍

A condom? Just a warning—some users reported it bursting and causing water to spill out.

It's a good list.  No where near $25, unless you buy in quantities and split the costs.

I looked at Walmart and the prices were much higher.  The orange contractor bags were $50 up to $75 or more, in large quantities.   No way to buy 1 or 2 bags.   I found some smaller quantities on Amazon for a more reasonable price.  Ditto the mylar blankets.  I already have some of the things, but still paid about $40 on Amazon for five items I needed.  Walmart more expensive unfortunately and not convenient.

For a kit, I wanted something that packed up small and not too pricey in case of short term emergencies.

I ended up with multiples of the things I bought, so the price per item was low, but then what do you do with all the extras?  I may make two kits, once to keep in the basement in case of tornadoes, etc.  Also, the water purification tablets and lighters need to be bought in person to make sure they are not near expiration.

Orange contractor trash bags (10) $15
Mylar blankets (4) $6
Cotton Bandanas (4) $6
Fiskars sewing kit $5
Razor blades (100)  $6.60
I have Duct tape, cotton balls, and vaseline.
Still need Water purification tablets, lighters, and unlubricated condoms.

The dollar stores might have cheaper prices and smaller quantities of some of the listed things, like the sewing kit.  Their bandanas are synthetic, not 100% cotton, I was looking for some a while ago.  Prices above were april 2026.

Boil water. It is the best way to sanitize water.

The 3 month requirement (nookie). Had d har. O4Q2.!!!!!

What is a BSC?

Not dehydration?! I live in the Sonoran Desert bitch! Like hell its not!!
