In the Victorian era, the wallpaper was often made of fabric, so using the king sized bedsheet for wallpaper is more historically accurate than one might think!

I have a curio cabinet from the 1800s (family heirloom) and while I don’t have any teacups, I actually keep my porcelain figurines in them. They’re great for displaying any collection you have

I am not interested in making my home look more Victorian, but I love watching your videos. Your delivery is always perfect.

my fav thing is seeing all the old photos you include in your videos!! super cool seeing the decor in real homes from long ago :)

Thank you so much for this video. I really enjoyed it. I'm actually changing all my room and this helps a lot. I wish I could thrift the things I want though, but sadly I don't find those types of things in my country, and if I do find them, they are super expensive. That's why I'm trying to diy everything I can. I'm almost done with a gallery wall, and some sconces. Your videos always inspire me. Thanks for the hard work!

I love the floral sheet as wallpaper.
I found this stunning painting by Maria Oakey Dewing, called “Garden in May”, painted in 1895. The original is hanging in the Smithsonian. The frame I got is embossed silver (perfect on my mauve walls). Very Victorian.

i appreciate the calmness ald frankness of this video.

Our daughter loves Victorian, so this was very helpful.  Back in the 1950s I used to have relatives whose homes were Victorian; I have a few light wooden chairs with canework.  I remember my Grandmother recaning some of these chairs.  It looked like an interesting process.  I think she was using the plastic cane because that is what they have now.  They must be 80 years old at least.  She also had heavy Victorian bedroom furniture with ornate dark wood and marble tops.  SCREAMED Victorian.  I remember how in Gone With the Wind the women sit at a round table in the middle of the living room with a lamp -- one is reading aloud, the rest doing embroidery or mending....I think every Victorian LR needs a round table like that for projects, dining or playing cards or board games on.

I love these victorian videos! I'm planning to style my room to look victorian :D

Great information! I agree with you about candles. Better safe than sorry - especially if you have a cat. Also, your use of a sheet as wall paper is so helpful!

Great ideas, you should do a video on a Victorian Christmas ideas.  I want to do a Victorian Christmas with burgundy and gold mostly.   Like how did the Victorians decorate for Christmas?

The plant idea is a great one.

You're a lifesaver! The bedsheet wallpaper move is brilliant. I'm shooting video of my artwork, not designing permanent interiors, so budget is a huge factor for me. Thank you so much!

You are very talented,  well done channel. As I complete my renovated 1870s era home, your videos have a lot of great ideas, excellent design choices and just exactly what I am looking for. Thanks for your hard work.

❤ That your Dad thought your room is haunted, I'm going for the haunted look for my room. Thanks for the video.

Please do go on in a part 2 ❤
