Majority of Femtanyl's music is about the trans experience, primarily about the theme of internalized abuse for their identities, and bringing it to the most extreme version of itself, often involving dehumanization and objectification. Her first album is called Chaser, which is a direct call out to the trans experience of abuse, as a chaser is somebody who fetishizes trans people just for being trans.

Happy pride month everybody

If you’re wondering.. Girl hell is about being Trans fem! Thats why they talk about being a “better man”

I can see how it'd be easy to miss the self referential transgender theme without knowing anything about the artist or the subject matter, so I think from a cisgender point of view your analysis makes sense. however the meaning is completely transformed once you learn more about the artist. as a transgender woman myself i appreciate you see the struggle even if you miss the fact that it's actually between social expectation, individual identity and inner conflict between internalised cultural norms/misogyny/patriarchal norms and indentity/disphoria sources etc

In fairness to you, other commenters are being a bit hard on you for interpreting the lyrics differently. Femtanyl's writing isn't exactly super explicit in regards to what it's about

Katamari is a song I could obliterate the world to.

As a uk trans fem these tracks are my comfort music. It's a way to express the rage , sadness and despair that comes from living in a society so hostile to your existence, that is safe and available when I need it. It's reassurance that I am not alone in these feelings.

Their music is so good. I got pulled over doing 85 in a 45.

I also recommend reacting to Man Bites Dog full album also by Femtanyl

One of my favorite things about PUSH UR T3MPRR is the way it plays with your expectations in the segments after the break. It sets up a sort of rhyme scheme with "together"/"temper"/"weather", so you hear "feel" and your brain starts to fill in "better", with makes the sampled "great!" feel a little jarring. Something similar, but much more noticeable, happens on the last line - you expect to hear "put me in my place" only to get slammed with the word "grave" as the instrumental cuts out!

This is the most genuine analysis

has he seen stomach book yet?

For another transfem singer/songwriter with similarly painful lyrics I'd recommend May Leitz. I've been enamoured with There's No Way Out for a long time.

Idk if this helps with your analysis, but Femtanyl references horror movies A LOT. The screaming section at the end of Katamari is ripped straight from a movie I forget the name of about a girl who is marrying into a rich family who made a deal with the devil and now has to sacrifice her in a game of hide and seek. Girl Hell 1999 is the name of another movie I haven't seen but know of, Attacking Vertical quotes the movie Creep, and one of the songs in the Man Bites Dog album uses lines from another movie. And those are just the ones I know/remember. I feel like tou can definitely read into that but thats never really been my thing so I won't.
