Watching a passionate person talk about their passion is honestly the most uplifting thing about YouTube.

Hes vibrato is one of the most characteristic and distinctive features of her voice.

13:04 As a Björk fan, I agree and understand you. Björk is certainly far from being a more technically skilled singer, not that she's wrong, it's just another way for her to communicate her art, and she's also an incredible songwriter.

Shes the ARTIST of this generation, unique, a true visionary! And so fucking talented, she dances, write, produce  their songs, and sing LIKE THAT 🙌🏻 you should react to LA PERLA in jimmy fallon

She is classically trained, with her work highlighting a deep, technical understanding of vocal music beyond pop. She studied at the highly prestigious Catalonia College of Music, which accepted only one student for flamenco singing in 2014. Part of classical opera training is learning how to manoeuvre your resonance and your tone through languages that you're not familiar with.

I heard some opera covers of the song. They’re really good, but I prefer Rosalia’s because it has that lament-pain kind of sound, due to the airyness. Opera sound does not convey that very easily, imho.

also honestly you should listen through the LUX album, it is a gold mine for people who like to analyse music and vocals, you won't be disappointed

12:09 if you hear with so much attention, you can hear the sound of the metalic thing of her outfit

Berghain is a famous techno club in Berlin. pronounced berg (with the e pronounced as such) and hain is pronounced as in let's say hine.

Deberías reaccionar a su álbum Lux. Una obra de arte. Rosalía es un talento. Gracias por tu explicación ❤

She never pretended to be an opera singer...it is just an experiment to blend different stules

The last techno part is only for this presentation. In the album isn't that part

ROSALÍA is a singer who is creating a new realm of pop. So is Bjork. LUX albums, especially "Berghain," are areas that cannot be analyzed. Not just you, but none of us can analyze. I know you're a vocal coach. You know what we can analyze is only part of the world.

You use such extreme tear to be clear that you weren’t criticizing these singers and that you are in fact a fan of them. You were explicitly clear about your intent. I knew as soon as I open the comments, I would see numerous people choosing to respond to the version of what you said that allowed them to be upset about it. It’s fascinating that so many people choose to misunderstand. In the case where someone doesn’t clarify, it can be easier to accidentally respond to the wrong part. But you were very, very clear and yet still the comments are arguing with a phantom I am fascinated and perplexed and slightly disturbed. Why do people choose to be unreasonable? Is it an emotional satisfaction of some sort that is gained by pretending that you said something offensive? I genuinely don’t understand.

You’re very skilled technically. It’s obvious that Rosalía isn’t an opera singer, but at least she took us to those notes, and how great it would be to have a coach like you. Really excellent work

I would love to see you reacting to the whole ROSALÍ LUX album, would be such a very rich experience knowing your opinions about everything.

I'd love to see you do a reaction to Bjork live on her own Zoe. Particularly something of more recent Bjork. She did a live performance of Bachelorette a few years ago where you really got to hear how her vocals have matured, but also the limitations on them that have developed as she has got older & also suffered quite a bit of vocal damage (as I understand it) over the years & had to go through recovery for that.

Never heard this song before?!!

But yes, I liked what you have done from your pretty opened mind.

the first "holy shit" made me LOL
