The bike is 29 years old. I'm 68. Combined age: 97. The challenge — ride the highest public roads in Wales, England and Scotland in a single day.
Gospel Pass in the Black Mountains.
Harthope Moss in the North Pennines.
Cairnwell Pass in the Cairngorms.
Roughly 556 miles, three nations, 13 hours in the saddle.
It's an old, simple bike. The question was whether an old, simple bike is actually capable of a serious challenge like this. And frankly, whether I am too.

I also have a Funduro and have a similar feeling at every start like you did on the morning when you wanted to leave, wondering if she will really start. I am slowly having a hard time with this feeling.

I have done 630 in a day before on an old gsr Suzuki 600 from Austria to Rotterdam my legs were killing me after only ten hours on the bike

This one took everything I had. The trip meter genuinely wouldn't reset to zero for the entire ride home and I still don't know why. Theories welcome below.
