Kolat was robbed of at least two World titles and an Olympic Medal. More matches overturned than any other wrestler in the world. Still one of the greatest American wrestlers of all time regardless of the hardware, but its a shame he didnt get the recognition he deserved. He was the best wrestler in the world from 97 to 2000. Three years in a row he had matches overturned at the World and Olympic tournaments.

UWW and the Olympic committee needs the overturn the results from 97-2000 and deliver gold medals to Kolat.

This match also marked the beginning of back room politicking that destroyed Kolat's career.
Kolat is arguably the greatest American wrestler to never win Olympic or World gold, and that was due to behind the scenes corruption.

Kolat was on an absolute tear during this tournament. He completely dominated everyone up to this match.

Uncrowned Champion 👑

Sometimes when you loose you really win and sometimes when you win you get fu@ked out of it three times.

Not sure how the scoring worked but seems like Kolat had three takedowns to the other guys one.

Thanks for the upload. Helps with the cabin fever

Love how they're TRYING to wrestle while they're giving a major speech. International wrestling and politics don't mix. Cary is the true champion.

Can anyone point out which sequence led to this match getting overturned? My untrained eye doesn’t see where the phantom point could have come from.

You can hear Zeke talking to the crowd in the background

Americans have always been great in wrestling. Kyle Sanderson

Why over time?

How do you overturn this? I have 3-1...very sad

I hope karma came to all these scumbags that cheated Kolat out of the three World Championships and the Gold Medal he was robbed of.

Great match. But I’m curious who was being interviewed during the match? You can hear him in the background. He seemed to say all the right stuff. The crowd loved it.

Straight BS, Kolat should have 3 Golds (2 W's & 1 Oly)
