Silo Series:
Wool https://amzn.to/3HPjRxD
Shift https://amzn.to/3Iao7bp
Dust https://amzn.to/41t7wGB
(Season 1 covers the first half of Wool)

Season three of “Silo” continues the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances, while revealing an origin story set centuries earlier. In the present, Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) survives her forced “cleaning” but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. Meanwhile, in the “Before Times,” journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences. The series is based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy, “Silo.”

What’s a great group and conversation, I appreciate Bankole looking for reasons to love the show and reaching out to others, rather than the negative approach pervading TV/Movie reviews lately

There was an interesting bit about vitamin D+. Camille asked for it to be put in the water supply and for the reverse osmosis filter to be removed. The algorithm wasn’t aware this had happened which means it has blind spots. That’s means she can get the filter added back presumably meaning vitamin D+ will be filtered out. So everyone gets to keep their memories.

Then “all” they need to do is cap the pipe and no more safeguard threat.

Such an interesting discussion 👍

Knox being an ass to Billings was uncalled for. Why everyone forget he was down in the lower levels trying to find the truth, Bernard turned on him and was at the front of the rebellion.

Cris you give especially great commentary

I clicked this video because of the title; stayed because of Gab and Cris. Now I’m a subscriber due to the thought provoking discussion.

The mystery of the Pez by Robert Sims highly suggests that Sims is going to stop Camile from destroying everyones memory. The episode showed multiple times that he doesn't agree with her and that he doesn't think she should go along with it. Also, regarding the memory loss not being immediate, I think Camile knows this and that is why she told the technician to remove the Osmosis filtration unit. She wants the effect to be as fast as possible before things in the Silo turn to chaos. My guess is Sims already knows about this and did his part to stop her. Once Camile finds out she is going to be pissed and confront Sims about his lies. The Algorithm might suggest Sims be sent off to clean or something unexpected might happen before that, for example, learning that someone or some people have been stealing from critical supply and that Silo 18 only has two years of life left.

Martha Walker acts like someone who read the books 😂 "what are these called again? channels?" c'mon she knows

I think at some point we’ll get the reveal that the Voice promised Camille that she’ll keep her memories. It would help explain why she’s suddenly so gun ho about this whole thing and even add the Vitamin D before getting full confirmation from Señor Voice

1:08:00 Lukas is saying he was close to finding the line that goes to IT from within the mines, but it doesn't mean he spends all his time right there, I don't think he's saying he was physically close when the gas arrived, just that he was on a good lead. He could sleep there but I assume he has to go back to the mine entrance to get food and water at the very least. Sure it's plot convenience that he wasn't far at the time the gas hit, but it doesn't seem impossible to me.
What's weirder is how there doesn't seem to have been more miners deaths, surely they are spread all over. I don't know, sometimes the show treats the mines as gigantic, and sometimes as very small. Just like the silo itself, sometimes it takes a day or more to go the full height, and sometimes characters do the round trip in what seems like very little time

I haven’t read the books, so this is a total guess. Isn’t the Vitamin D+ stored in Critical Supply? Assuming that the thief is not working for the Algorithm, maybe it will turn out that whoever has been stealing the light bulbs might have also stolen the vitamin D+ and perhaps replaced it with regular water (so the barrels are not empty), even if they didn’t know the exact importance? If they knew vitamin D was important for everyone’s health (i.e., due to lack of actual sunlight) and if they’re either stealing for profit, power/leverage or another Silo, this could make sense…

I agree 10000000% we need more Juliet!!!!!

Pete I don't know how you stay neutral during the discussions having read the books. It would be impossible for me lol

Bit confused. I may have missed some info this season, but I was under the impression that Camille has absolutely NO idea about the safeguard. She’s just trying to make sure that there isn’t another uprising like the last rebellion that would lead to them opening up the outside killing everyone?
