Botswana SOLO Episode 3 #botswana #solo #overlanding #africa #4x4 is a short series in which I travel some of the most remote places in Botswana, namely the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR) & 3 Islands on the Makgadikgadi Pan.
Episode 3 sees me traveling to the Famous Lekhubu or Kubu Island to discover it's stories and the braving a pan crossing to Infamous remote South Island on the Makgadikgadi Pan.

Heading out on a solo Bots trip in September. Went with friends in 2018 & it was the trip of a lifetime. There were many nights with lions roaring close to the campsite & also an elephant that came into our campsite. Solo its going to be quite a thrill. Cant wait!

Another great episode…thanks for sharing. The archeological stone walls are very interesting and trying to imagine life here before the industrial age, makes these place so fascinating.

On the highest point in the island (kubu), there are remains of human activity e.g beads, and stones used for grinding seeds
