Today's video is a stroll around JR Utsunomiya Station, the central station in Utsunomiya City, the prefectural capital of Tochigi Prefecture.
First, we filmed the re-entry from the east exit, using the next-generation streetcar system (LRT), or light rail. After that, we focused on a city walk from the west exit to the area around Tobu Utsunomiya Station.
Utsunomiya is the most populous of the three northern Kanto prefectures, and the development of its streetcar network has further increased its vitality. I've also seen articles about an extension of the streetcar line toward the west exit, so there are high hopes for the future development of the area around Utsunomiya Station.
