This should be called "7 Verses Every Priest and OCIA Teacher Should Know".

Catholics are hungry to know our Faith. We are so blessed to have such teachers on the Internet now.

Im a muslim but cant get enough of catholic learnings a beautiful religion ❤

Me (a non-denominational):
Dang this guy is right about everything.
Like I know my Bible and I have debated a lot for both, Christianity and Protestantism, but the way you explain these verses and put them into context is undeniable. I’ve been thinking about becoming Catholic and now I think I’m going to go to mass more often and get serious about praying to God for discernment.

As a Catholic born and bred in Indonesia, I attended the same Catholic school “St. James” from kindergarten through senior high school. Our school’s motto, taken from James 2:26, was “Faith without works is dead,” a phrase we heard nearly every day. Looking back, it saddens me to recall how, during high school, many of my friends converted to non-denominational Protestant churches. These churches were often very active in recruiting young people, using contemporary music and concert-style services to attract them. It was disheartening to see classmates who had grown up with the teachings of the Catholic Church feel drawn to a version of Christianity that emphasised salvation by faith alone, seemingly disregarding the importance of works. Thank you, Dr. Bergsma, for helping reaffirm the richness and depth of the faith I grew up with.

Holy WoW!

As a  65 year old one year convert to  Catholicism…..
Thankyou.
I come from generations of Protestant Pentecostal faith where “worship” never really felt right to me.

After  years of discomfort in the Pentecostal church … one day I felt to sneak ( yes…sneak…Pentecostals, as I was told in my youth, wouldn’t go near a catholic with a ten foot pole.) into the local Catholic Church.  As soon as I sat in the pew … I felt something I’d never felt in church before….silence, stillness, sacredness..
A year later, I no longer attend Pentecostal services and have arranged for confirmation.

My Protestant brain has often been at war with my Catholic heart..
wondering…
how can two faiths use the same bible and both say something 😊so different.
Your videos clarify for me the war of words which I have been taught and the Word which my heart truly desires to know❣️🕊️❣️

As a 69yr old cradle Catholic I can say , you are the real deal.  Your teachings are so relevant in a age where right is wrong and wrong is right.  Thank you for teaching TRUTH. Not MY truth or YOUR truth .

⛪God be praised.
Dr. Bergsma, thank you. At 87 i am still deepening my Catholic Faith. You and others like Dr. Scott Hahn are so humble in the way you express and explain with fool-proof evidence from the Bible the truths of our Faith. Bless you. 🥀

Thank you so much for this! I am 70 and a 40 year Protestant. I have been looking into Catholicism and have asked the local Father many questions. This has helped so much to flesh out his answers!!
❤

i thank God for people like Dr Bergsma for teaching both Catholics and our separated brethren of the beauty of the Catholic faith.

John Bergsma is, besides Scott Hahn and Brant Pitre, the most brilliant teacher of the faith this century!

By the Grace of God these things are clear to us by faith. Thank you Dr Bergsma for allowing our merciful LORD to use you to shine a light for our Sola Scriptura brothren.

I love the first series of the 7 verses. Thank you Dr Bergsma for all that you do and May God bless you and your ministry.

What a great mind God has raised in the Catholic Church! Thank you Dr Bergsman. You have deepened my knowledge of the Scripture and strengthened my love for Christ by your  clear, concise and profound explanation of God's living Word.

“I just know Jesus and the Church are one”

What impresses me most about folks like Dr Bergsma is their knowledge of not just the Old Testament but the culture of ancient Israel and how that influences how we ought to understand what is written in the New Testament.  Good stuff.

Thank you Sir. May our Lord Bless you and your family. We are praying for you all during this time🙏♥️

Thank you Dr Bergsma, from Perú, as a Catholic, I feel we are so part of the mystical body of Jesus‼️❤️

John is superb and out of this world! He is indeed one of the best teachers out there.

I just found Dr Bergsma. Thank you for explaining my Catholic faith, verse by verse, that is easy to understand. ❤
