The warfare starts at 0:53 - Chris takes control of the interview by using the words "I will give you the option"
0:57 - Interviewer subconsciously recognizes this and attempts to regain control via re-asking the question.
1:24 - Interviewers stress response kicks in and he attempts to release some of the built up tensions through his facial movements & Fidgeting.
1:43 - Interviewer recognizes he's nervous and in an effort to calm his nerves he takes the pressure off of himself via "downplaying" his skill set.
2:28 - After Chris's aggressive tonality, the interviewers fight or flight kicks up another gear. Notice the lip biting and nostril flaring. This is a normal response as his body is trying to get more air. AKA Bernoulli's principle.
2:53 - Interviewer is met with the realization that this is incredibly uncomfortable and his body forces a smile as a stress response to calm the anxiety & discomfort.
By the time it gets round to the role reversal the interviewer is emotionally fatigued, which explains why he was so abrupt and didn't answer the questions the way we would have hoped.
Bearing all of this in mind, I think the interviewer actually did a decent job. High pressure negotiation is INCREDIBLY stressful and it is VERY emotionally draining. The only way we can improve and get better at this, is by doing it more and more. Notice how calm and collect Mr Voss it?
