I finally built and painted my Murderwing Kill Team out of the Shadow Hunt box, and instead of just doing a blow-by-blow painting tutorial, I figured it’d be more interesting to talk through the six operatives I picked, why I picked them, and how I think this team is supposed to play.
I didn’t MathHammer this, I didn’t look up the optimal roster, and I’m definitely not pretending I’ve mastered the team. I mostly went with my gut: lots of mobility, aggressive positioning, weird jump-pack nonsense, and enough punch to make bad decisions feel justified.
In this video I go over my Chaos Lord, Champion, Huntmaster, Warp Talon, Skysear, Depredator, the ploys I actually care about, and why I think Murderwing looks like a faster, meaner version of the kind of Legionary playstyle I already enjoy.
Now I just need to actually get them on the table and find out how wrong I am.

Being able to forcefully reposition an enemy operative is crazy powerful. Kidnapping a key piece out of position can massively alter an enemy's plan. Removing an op from an objective, taking a medic away from a supporting position, exposing a hidden enemy to your plasma gunner. All sorts of possibilities can be had with the grabber.
I also build mine purely by vibe, because i wanted to paint them as iron warriors and they dont like mutations that much... i went with the shrieker instead of the depedator and with the melter instad of the plasma. Havent had the chance to play them more then once, unfortunatly :(
