Jim Morrison was the first musician to be arrested on stage during a performance in New Haven Connecticut Which they briefly show in this vid I've been a Doors freak for 40 yrs and they've been the biggest influence on my overall development as a musician Rip Jim and Ray ✌️
The line 'woke up this morning and got myself a beer' was something Jim had seen Alice Cooper say in an interview on an TV morning show. Recorded live in the breakfast hours Alice Cooper was very drunk & when asked if he'd been drinking, that's how Alice responded. At that time in his life Cooper was almost constantly drunk. He's been sober now for decades.
This is a banger of a song from The Doors, from 1970, I love this song, I love Jim Morrison's voice and I absolutely love the blues! The Doors were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965, known for their blend of rock, jazz and blues. We heard them a lot here in the UK, one of my favourite songs was 'Hello I Love You', has the most incredible riff! Other favourite songs - 'Light My Fire', 'People are Strange', 'The End', 'Gloria' and many more. Thanks so much for your reaction, Anthony, I'm sure you would enjoy other Doors songs. 🔥😊
The keyboardist, Ray Manzarak, wrote a book year's ago. He said when they performed this, they had music and very little lyrics written. They were not sure what Jim Morrison might do, and this is what it turned into. Much of it was just telling the story of getting to the place that night.
Classic Doors and cool montage of video clips from their concerts. You are right AR, Jim didn't give a damn what anyone thought and got himself in quite a bit of trouble at times. He walked to his own beat for sure and the fans loved him for it. Sooo many great Doors tunes to check out.
