We’ll miss these when they’re gone……

This interior is a massive plus. I’m sick of new car interior design. It’s all about touch screen and capacitive buttons and the tech. This has no distractions, just pure old fashioned rwd sports car

I really like the fact that it’s “old school” inside.  Real buttons !

I'm into the third year of ownership and I'll be keeping my GR86 as long as I can. The "dated" interior is a positive for me, I don't want a massive touchscreen, electronic handbrake and assorted bongs! My first and probably last new car purchase.

Harry complaining about all the doodads in modern cars but also disliking the "dated" interior of this car is one of the few times that I think he's missing the point

Feels like a car that is more fun to drive than many cars that are more than twice the price

Props to Toyota and Mazda for still making lightweight RWD fun cars!!!

"Dated" is a huge plus if you can't stand modern styling trends.

so refreshing to see a different manufacturer being show. fed up with BMW, porsche and ferrari.

Perhaps a tad harsh?  It looks clean and stylish and built fir fun, well balanced.  I like it.

I absolutely love this car! As a former engineer at Porsche I know all 997 / 991 variants by heart and drove them in total about 250k km. For me the GR86 ist 90% of the fun for very little money

Lovely to see a review of a special but 'normal' car. So much more relatable than silly expensive 'super' cars and heavyweight luxury SUVs. More of this stuff please Harry!

I had a GT86 for five years and was lucky enough to pick up a GR86 when they came out! There's something very special about these cars that is difficult to define.... every time I jump in it, even just to pop to the shops, I get this grin on my face....it never fails. I've had plenty of cars over the years and never had that feeling with any of the others! My wife has a Toyota CH-R which has all the bells and whistles (literally) and its hard to believe they are made by the same company. Mine is so much fun and hers has so many nanny features it drives me crazy. I don't want a car that tries to move it's own steering wheel and makes me jump with a string of beeps every time I cross a white line!! Make the most of these cars while you can, we are on a road to automated vehicles that will suck the life out of the pleasure of driving!! If you enjoy driving (not everybody does remember) get your hands on either a GT or GR86 and put the smile back on your face!!

"grown up Caterham" is probably one of the biggest compliments you could give a daily driver.

I am 71 and ordered the first version GTS in 2012. I still enjoy every drive in this car and now have 160,000 + kms on it. I have found choice of tyres contributes to interior noise. I have Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE003 tyres on mine and they're much quieter than the Continentals I had on it previously. I did 10,000 kms in one month and took it to Tasmania and drove the Targa roads and had a smile from ear to ear the whole time.

Someone built a nice looking, fun driving, affordable sports car; So I supported the cause and went out and ordered one.  Took 26 months, but worth the wait. Love mine 24’ grabber blue, 20 mm wheel spacers and an AWE track exhaust.  I’ll add a cold air this spring, nothing crazy.  
You know you got a cool car when young lads on their bikes get excited when you drive by.
