The women in my family believed that "a diet coke cancels out the food you eat," meaning that drinking a diet coke with any meal means you effectively ate zero calories but still get all the nutrition.

I basically lost 50 pounds by a german diet called "Friss die Hälfte" that means just eat half. Most of the time the food you are eating is not the biggest issue but the amount you are eating.

I don’t understand why people outright lie on this show to start with. It’s one thing when people don’t realise how much calories is in mayonnaise and slather that on their salad but these two claimed they mostly ate healthy home cooked meals.
