Born in DRI IN 1947. Remember many of these streets, bicycled all over the city. Lived in sandeman st opposite the Dundee Football Grounds Dens park. Supported United down Tannadice St. that had a rickety wooden stand. Many fond memories, worked at Timex. Loved the Broughty Ferry and Monifieth area, miss the fifies, Camperdown park, the Law hill, the Hilltown, Balgay park, the Ice rink on the Kingsway, skating on a frozen claypotts ice pond, Riverside Drive. Worked briefly at the Odeon on Strathmartine Rd.as a doorman. Remember the town had so many cinema theaters, and dance halls. Still recall horse drawn DPM carts, and Jute Industries carts, these being pulled up Victoria Rd. The last of the leeries and scaffies with the large metal hoe on the end of their brush to scrape horse manure from the cobble stone roads. Left Dundee in 1974 now retired overseas. Lang may yer lum reek.
