Animal from The Muppets was very underated.

Copeland was the reason I listened to early Police

Anniversary of the best !!! Neil Peart , January 7th , RIP professor 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

"Jimi was Mitch's guitarist"   outstanding. I love that. I bet Jimi would have loved that and laughed at it in good fun.

He is one of my very favourite drummers of all time. I think Stings voice and his drumming made The Police so special and unique!

The Police was such a killer band.

Ringo is the only drummer I know who never says "Look at me", but.instead says "I will help you appreciate the structure of the song and give the vocalists, guitar and bass players the space to show you just how good they are".

Copeland is there with them greats, period.

When the Levee Breaks. Rock 'n Roll magic.

Ringo made difficult rythems seem easy.  Mad respect for Star.

You talk with most great drummers and you will always discover their appreciation for Ringo’s drumming.

'Jimi was Mitch's guitarrist', LOL.. I love Stewart, he's such a cool guy. And it's true, Mitch Mitchell was the perfect drummer for Hendrix🎸

Ringo was perfect almost all the time and never ever ever overdoing the doing the Song

And Ringo did it with kits 1/3 of the size of those, today.  One of the reasons that his style was different was that he is left-handed but used a right-handed kit.

Ringo's drum parts breathe. He doesn't brow beat the audience with extreme chops. He has the ability to turn perceived technical weaknesses into strengths by using his musical imagination and coming up with creative drum patterns.

It's so strange to see this in some way. Often you see videos like this, where a young, promissing drummer lists legends, who inspired him, but here you can see, not only a legend, but a musician with his distinct sound, speaking of those, who he considers the best of the best, but some of them were practically his contemporaries, also having pretty little in common with his playing style. But still, very pleasant to see an appreciation for legends from another legend

Stewart has style, without a shadow of a doubt!

When I was in the fourth grade, Buddy Rich came to our school and played in our auditorium. At the time, of course, I knew nothing of the man or his greatness. as a drummer. But, years later, I sure was happy that I got to listen to him play live for those 30 or so minutes! Two unmentioned favorites of mine are Bill Ward and Felix Pappalardi...

You can usually tell when it's Copeland. That's quite a signature he leaves on the music.

I'm lucky. I find that listening to him talk is equally rewarding.

He played at our polo club (Oak Hills Farm) in Texas. He played Polo and Drums. He was a fast and a nimble opponent.  Very pleasant experience…
