WE NEED PEOPLE LIKE CATHERINE TO SPEAK UP AGAINST POLICIES WHCIH WE DEEM BIAS AGAINST THE PEOPLE WHEN WE SEE THE RULING PARTY GETTING OUT OF LINE WITH ITS CITIZENS... WELL DONE CATHERINE !!! my SINCERE THANKS !

I admire Dr Catherine Lim, her pragmatic, sincere, direct and sensible attitude in discussing about public speakers and political issues on the above video.

Catherine's English is simply a great pleasure to read. Hope she will write more often!

keep up your spirit to fight for our fellow citizen. we need people like both of you to surface helping the poor fore front fighter in parliment helplessly. Still today we have many PAP grassroots with good heart needed wind of change for a good leader from all walk of life to save our country and people.

我支持尚达曼当总理。

You are right about the part that on one hand people are complaining but when efforts are made to try to get people to participate to discuss, the actual number of participants is very low. From what I have observed the willingness from Singaporeans to put in effort to discuss issue close to their hearts are very low. I am concern that the growing trend of complaining is building a sense of entitlement in more Singaporeans.

I don't think Singaporeans are ready for no-holds-barred type discussion where they could ignore demeaning remarks without anyone being offended, so I think respectful discussion is still very much needed. I think a more viable and less risky approach would be to create a sufficient poll of outspoken and willing candidate and then allow public to vote for their representative. The voted candidates will then come together to discuss and debate the topic of concerned.

We dont have much time ,true.
But many are still sleeping.

Dr. Lim's English is superb.

Highly struck in QE

it's learned helplessness hehe..

sheep will also be sheep.... no ideals, not prepared to stand up for their convictions and principles ....because most of us have none.   We are quite happy to have  grasses to chew on and stomach filled.

"Indian chiefs" position is open not takers but many pushers !

I enjoy listening to Catherine's brilliant intellectual discourse but felt cringeful and mostly irritated by the host interjecting her with his superficial out of context questions. The host instead of allowing Catherine to speak and continue at length had in fact ruin this otherwise fantastic interview with his self conceited out of order comments. i reckon that at least 50% of this interview is spoilt by the host inability to allow more time for Catherine to speak fluidly.

Amos Yee could take a page from Catherine Lim, though, partly, I don't blame the kid, 'cause he's a kid. Unfortunately for lil' Amos, some other people aren't as discriminating.

Dr. Catherine Lim is aboslutely right to say many Singaporeans fear the Govt. for a variety of reasons. This is surprising for an educated society. Somebody told me the 3Ks joke of Singaporeans. Its Kiasu,(afraid to lose) Kia Chen Fu (scared of the Govt.) and Kia Boh (Scared of wife).Hope it is not a common trait amongst most Singaporeans.

she wrote bad literature.....and she cant talk well le...maybe for primary school LAH...
