"To build an instituition is to cede power, is to create a system that will not forever rely on you". Well said.

I am amazed by the quality of the speech, its precision and objectiveness

Well spoken, what a bright young man... thank you Sheng Wu

Beautiful speech, it brought tears to my eyes, I'm certain the late PM Lee will be very proud of his grand children.

An eloquent speaker and obviously a very bright intelligent young man ... Li Shengwu you had a great YeYe whom  Singapore is crying .. still and will cry forever more.  Never will the world see the likes of another awesome amazing great man and leader like your YeYe. I pray that we Singaporeans will carry on your YeYe's good works. Long Live Singapore!

Brave and courageous he phrase it very clearly his private life with his grandfather a man of great value.  I pray that Singapore will continue to rise high even our founder father is not in our present.  Mr. Lee Kuan Yew good work will always be remember by us.  Rip Mr. Lee K Y.

We are watching the World's best speaker on 2010.

Very well-spoken. Rich vocabulary that epitomises the essence of the late LKY as a history maker and visionary leader. Huge potential for the political arena!

Very steady speaker and could control his emotion very well, although we can see from his eyes and facial expression that he is very heart brokened over the lost of a great YeYe.

Well written impressive eulogy Li Shengwu.  Thank you  my family enjoyed listening to you tremendously.  We will cherish and celebrate  our late Mr Lee Kuan Yew's life and memories for generations to come.

Singapore public servant needs more young people like him...

what a lovely speech. he rly is something

Shengwu, thank you for sharing about wise ye ye - every insight into his private and public life is a valuable lesson for us. He balanced his life so well and you and your family is proof that status and money is not everything. Proper upbringing and family life are also important building blocks of a nation.

He is very compose and very mature for his age.

This grandson of LKY speaks fantastic English. He can be the future leader of Singapore if he wants to.

Everytime we I polish my paperworks, I would go back here and listen to Shengwu's speech one more time.  Not only the precision of his use of language,  but the overwhelming power behind the words ---- like a heated wave flows through the iced land.

8:40 until ends ...full of tears 😭

Good delivery from a former Best Speaker at World Universities Debate when he represented Oxford University. We can also hear evidence of his elite education at Balliol College Oxford studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE). He stayed on in Oxford to do a Master's in Economics at Keble College. Then he went on to Stanford University for his PhD. He and his younger brother Shaowu studied at Raffles Institution. He is not a government scholar unlike Li Hongyi who is a PSC Overseas Merit Scholar who studied at ACSI and MIT.

Eloquent speaker and hopefully a good leader !!

Beautifully said. Thanks for sharing. Majulah Singapura.
