I cover the Seal U finance offer, falling profits and cash flow, Dolphin depreciation, recalls, supplier payments, pre-registration risks, the Brazilian factory case and the future Hungarian factory. I also compare BYD residual values with the Tesla Model 3 and explain why a cheap car can cost more to own.

I still think BYD builds good cars, but I would buy one outright, keep it long term and treat its future used value as a bonus. The video ends with practical questions to ask before signing a finance agreement, including who is really paying the interest.

I just sold my £27,000 2-year-old Nissan Juke (with 3,200 miles) and bought a Suzuki Splash for £1,100. I could afford the Juke but decided on 3 extra holidays each year!

The BYD Seal U sells for around £14.5k to £15.6k (equivalent) in China. In the UK it sells for £33k to £35k. Factor in the cost of transportation (under £1000 and VAT around £3000) and BYD is making a mint selling cars in the UK in order to compete in the Chinese market where EVERY Chinese car maker is trying to compete on both equipment and price. The UK is paying to swupport BYD efforts to compete in its home market.

Why should anyone care about company quarterly sales figures unless you are a share holder. You buy a great car at a good price. No one forces you. Do your own cost analysis . BYD is doing far better than almost any European or American automaker, and will be one of the few left standing in ten years.

Showing a Audi badge WHY , then comparing a nissan quashki with a seal dmi in size is daft byd is a bigger vehicle and the byd has a phev version , the quashki doesnt. All makers have a site they keep their cars in some hard ground which is less expensive if you store on grassland , they really should clip the month or 2 old summer grass .
Is this really a conspiracy video because someone behind this vid has shorted Byd shares 😂😂 ??.

You say “It’s not the metal”, but critics say that Chinese cars are made from “Chinesium”, it looks like steel but you can bend it in your fingers, or it’s so brittle that it snaps. They seem to have a metallurgy problem.
Also they rust like a ‘61 Victor, in six years they’ll be scrapped after an MOT inspection.
For less money you could buy a Suzuki Swift, with a proven track record for reliability, fuel economy and durability.

They can afford to discount in the UK purely because they’re ripping off UK buyers by selling all of their cars at higher prices here than any where else in the world, stop buying these over priced cars

Anything built in China is controlled remotely by the CCP and EV’s is allowed to park within 2 miles of sensitive UK buildings. StacheD Training shows the sheer number of Lithium Ion battery fires, including Chinese built ones
