Why yes, I am hardcore birding. It's a lifestyle.

I need this tripod about 6” shorter when folded.

As my wife reminds me almost every day, I’m super stupid, but I don’t understand the difference between Falcam and Ulanzi. I thought they weee the same company. Anyway, it would be awesome if the made the TreeRoot with a video head. That would be a game changer. Also, the Falcam cages have the F38 built in. Super great cages.

I fell victim to your video about a month ago for the Lite Treeroot! You can't keep getting away with this! Now I need the Quicklock...

You should mention that the standard Treeroot is only $399 if you don't want their ballhead. I'm thinking of getting that one to go with the tripod head of my choice, something like the K&F Geared Tripod Head which is super cheap and super good. If not I have a good Novoflex Magic Ball I can use.

The Tree Root Travel Tripod (quick lock) has been one of the best investments of mine since I've gotten into photography so many years ago. I know this may come across as silly but, I also buy things for aesthetics. I mean, it's a beautiful tripod as well! And once I get into a product, like Small Rig gear, I become very loyal. And I'm loyal now to Falcam. So that if I ever need a tripod for heavier lenses (which I am looking into filming things) I'll get this one!

I honestly can't waste my money on a none-manfrotto style tripod. Heck, Ulanzi/Falcam F50 QR has one that is so tiny and square and works with regular manfrotto plates. Their F50 QR are just brilliant and might have to mount one of their, probably the square/short model into one of these lightweight tripods if possible. TreeRoot Pro seems like the best deal here but now how I'm gonna find a tiny fluid head with manfrotto compatibility to mount F50 QR on?

Bro you are hilarious! Came for the comparison, stayed and subscribed for the humour. All the best Mark

So…you got me…but my wife will take you to court as soon as she knows…"what another tripod" 🤔😅😅
No seriously, entered the “Falcam F38” world because was looking for a system to cary around my OM1 + 300mm for bird photography on a strap. So ended with a falcon quick release on a strap around my neck what gives me the possibility to act very quickly while walking.
And as time has passed, almost every camera and lens now has its own Falcam plate.
Was rather resistent at first because I thought it wouldn’t be stable enough since the plates are so little. But turned out to be wrong….more than stability enough 👍👍👌
So yes…ordered the Treeroot quick lock tripod…so looking out for it and thanks for the coupon !!

Nice, but I'm sticking with my $19 Velbon.

After owning the Treeroot Travel a year now, I wish Falcam gave you the option to buy it  with either the ballhead or the A130 center column module...simply not a fan of a ballhead.

Great review. I purchased both the Treeroot and Treeroot light for my film students at UCLA. Definitely recommend the Treeroot with inverted ballhead for its universal compatibility; meaning use with multiple top plates.  Looking to purchase the Pro next but thinking I will attach a pistol grip for portraits somehow since I'm also responsible for staff headshots. Also looking to rig a laptop to an additional set of pro legs. Just researching the mount. Let me know if any ideas come to mind? Thanks!

Thank you for the video! Even though it's 10 months old, the coupon code still works! I was going to get the lite version but not having a pan head was a big bummer for me.

It's $300 for the lite, and with your code I was able to step up to the quick lash middle one, for only 15 dollars more. Absolutely worth it for anyone looking to get these tripods

The tripod is your insurance against gravity :). I shake my head when I see people with thousands of dollars on top of a $25 tripod. Buy your second tripod first.

How do we shoot from the ground with the pro version? It seems impossible.

Thanks. Now this song is stuck in my head.
Good title though.

I really dig my Falcam TreeRoot Lite.

What’s the best Falcam-cage compatible tripod to put on a little-space-desk for talkin head YT videos?

Seems like the only thing missing is the breakaway leg for monopod functionality.  That seems like it would be a useful feature for a prosumer like myself, that that is aiming to purchase a single high quality tripod for travel.
