How many times do you three putt in a round?!

Hi Alex, that is the best putting lesson I have ever seen on YouTube.

.... go to the green take a tape measure with you extend the tape to 12" - 20' put the ball at 12" take a stroke then take strokes at 8" and 6" or longer get to know your distance relative to stroke
now all you need to do is learn to read the green ...... Good Luck

Incredible information, totally changes how to focus on the proper aspects of putting. I have always focused on acceleration putting like Alex did and had no idea that was so wrong. I would now say the focus needs to be on the momentum of the putter instead. I can't thank you enough for this video!

This is possibly the BEST putting video I have watched from anyone, anywhere. I made a 36ft downhill putt, a 20+ ft, and two 12-15ft putters last time I played using this (After 3 weeks of practicing). I normally shoot close to 100, I shot a 92.
I have been an OK putter prior, but on my good days had at least three 3 putts every round.
Long putts were my worst nemesis besides sand.
Sure, I am a bad golfer, but this is a game changer for putting longer putts.
I also found that the "green calibration" has really helped my first few holes of putts, which also shaves a stroke or 2 per round for an old duffer like me.

This worked for me!

That was the most interesting putting lesson, and easy to understand, that I have seen. Well done Alex.

Absolutely knowledge gold. How many of us amateur golfers accelerate thru the hit and not on backswing. Definitely trying this out 👍

@richardglancy436 8 months ago

I’ve been working on something similar. Measure then judge my backswing distance. It’s amazingly accurate. Came from a Pro lesson.

Such a great video, can’t wait for some better weather to get out and try this.

Putting is easily half my strokes for many of my rounds. A ton of that is just having a wild guess at how firm my putting stroke needs to be outside of 3-4 feet. Thank you for sharing this absolute gem of a lesson with us!
