This time, we visited Utsukushigahara Kogen, the highest-altitude roadside station in Japan, located in Nagano Prefecture!

The temperature was 35℃ when we started driving along the Venus Line. We stayed overnight in our car at the Utsukushigahara Kogen roadside station, which is at an altitude of 2,000m, using the paid section (No. 8).

Without a portable air conditioner, would we be able to comfortably spend a summer night?!

Within the section, we set up a table and chairs, creating a camping-like atmosphere. For dinner, we enjoyed local Nagano cuisine such as karashi inari (mustard-filled fried tofu), sanzoku-yaki (grilled chicken), and oyaki (stuffed dumplings), along with local Nagano wines and sake.
