I drove the Venus Line, one of Nagano Prefecture's most scenic driving routes, from Chino City to the Utsukushigahara Plateau at an altitude of approximately 2,000m, covering a distance of about 70km!

The area around Lake Suwa, where I started, was scorching hot like midsummer, but as I ascended to the Tateshina Plateau, Lake Shirakaba, and Kirigamine, the air became cooler. Under a clear blue sky, the refreshing scenery unique to the plateau made for a very pleasant drive.

Along the way, I stopped at Nagato Ranch, the famous spring water "Hachishin no Shizuku," and a cluster of daylilies, fully enjoying the charm of the Venus Line.
