Alyssa was getting on my nerves 😭😭 a heart of gold and a brain of rocks

SZA was a good choice to showcase the halo effect cause the whole movie I was like "you're too pretty to be this damn stupid girl"

Shes likable but ngl i was like "you the type of friend you gotta like from a distance"

Alyssa made me SO MAD in the film ESPECIALLY when she was calling Drew’s name outside of her interview. That felt like straight sabotage to me. She could’ve taken that ass whooping elsewhere

While watching the movie I realized that Dreux is better than me . Alyssa would have been out of my life A LONG TIME AGO

Maybe I’m trash but I thought Alyssa was irritating as hell. And then she had the nerve to act like Drux should apologize to HER?! Hell no 😭😭😂

You didn’t even have Alyssa’s bf burning down their apartment with all them candles on your list 😂 #11!

This review made me feel like I was watching the movie again 😂😂 I loved the movie so much! It was a fun adventure and SZA gave a 10/10 performance. The cast was perfect.

I was screaming when Bernice pulled up to Dreux’ interview 🤣

Alyssa got on my damn nerves. We would never be friends again after she gave that man the money and then she didn't even give blood and she lost the money!!!!! And then she was pathetic in that fight with Bernice, girl at least pinch ha! Damn. It really was all Alyssa's fault lmfao

The movie was FANTASTIC! And lmao I would never have the grace/patience needed to be friends with Alyssa but the dynamic worked wonderfully for the movie. SZA was amazing for a newbie actress! No notes!

I absolutely loved this movie and I love being a black woman. And as a black woman who’s just now entering my 20’s and struggling with adulthood I really related to the plot. And it’s nice to have a modern day Friday with black women

Alyssa was the problem but Druex was an enabler

Truly loved this movie and Keke and Sza poured their personalities into their role. Issa is blessed! Side note: Alyssa is a good example of the long term friend whos a lot of fun but is not good to grow with. She would bring you down and sabotage you as you try to elevate in life. Dreux is a prime example of an enabling friend who lets too much slide in the friendship while taking care of them 😂

New white neighbor brought to you by gentrification 😂

sza was soooo good!!! for this to be her first role is wild bc she’s a natural. the love letter to regular degular black girls was felt!

I just realized the cash now pay later lady was in Abbott elementary for a bit!

Agree 100%. This movie is so relatable. I felt for Dreux so much when all that blood got sprayed everywhere 😩 there is nothing like being so broke you gotta give blood.

Seeing this on MLK day was the best! Truly an instant classic and I love your breakdown. The movie really could’ve been called “A series of L’s brought to Dreux by Alyssa” 🤣

SZA had the Insecure cameo!! Looking for Latoya
