When you hear an prison abolitionist say the words "Jail!" like that you know this shit is fucked.

It's refreshing to see someone's anger towards this blatant propaganda. This should be how everyone reacts

"Age is just a number." Mhmm. Mhmm.

And jail is just a room with bars.

“Age is just a number.” “So is 9-1-1.”

I love how mad you got about this because it is worthy of outrage. Dating someone younger than your child is CRAZY WORK

The show was probably called AGE OF CONSENT until the corporate attorneys weighed in.

I don’t know why I thought I could fall asleep to this video, Olay’s been shouting “JAIL” for 6 minutes 😭😭😭

I felt so seen when you also was suspicious of the lack of lip liner

STOP WHY IS THE INTRO SECTION CALLED ELDER ABUSE PLEASEEE

As someone who was once 23 dating a 33 yo….thank you so much for advocating for us young folks and pointing out this predatory behavior.

With current events like the slow trickle of Epstein files and the recent story of those 2 teachers abusing that high school student, it just feels really insidious that Netflix would put out a show like this.

Every older person looked their age...good looking has nothing to do with looking "young."

and that’s how we KNOW you’re old as hell bc why are you surprised that somebody out of college has roommates….. the economy hasn’t been good for young people out of college for a while…. you remember when

The lip liner theory is killing me

im so confused by the shows use of 'age is just a number' cause like...why would a show that basically wants to demonstrate that dating someone way older/younger than you isnt bad...use a phrase that most people associate with pedophilia? like are they trying to reclaim it???

I've said it before and I'll say it again, these days if you want to run an ethically dubious psycho/social experiment, you dont do a PhD and try to get it past an ethics committee, you pitch is as a Netflix dating show.

“Strict liability means JAIL” add this to every 1L’s curriculum

Jorge talking about how he's going to step to someone every single time as an old ass man - he;'s going to get humbled by a young man real quick. because as a person who grew up in the hood, I trust a woman to get out of a situation like that safely over a man every time

the “connection” thing is kind of a dog whistle at this point, because a connection between people with a reasonable age gap is: you have the same hobby or you have tons of things in common, maybe you have the same friends, or you know a lot of the same people, you’re generally in the same phase of life, and maybe you’re five or ten years apart but you’re adults with the same level of power and money, you’re friends and you just decide to try and make it work even though it might be awkward, because you can talk through things and you have healthy communication. not “i went on the predator dating show to be a predator and i think this person who’s 20-35 years younger than me is really hot because they look like a high schooler, but nobody can call me abusive for manipulating them because i know the magic buzz word”

As a grooming victim, the opening monologue healed me ❤😂
