RIP Sam Neill

“You arrogant arse. You killed us”
When you choose to use your last 3 seconds on earth as an insubordinate chad

After the USS Dallas dramatically breaches the surface the Russian sailor shouts "Captain scared them out of the water!" according to the subtitles on the VHS I had growing up.

„You‘ve lost another submarine?“

He will see Montana, when he goes to dig up dinosaur bones.

Baldwin does a good impersonation of Sean Connery.

Lieutenant Commander Thompson is a bad ass as well, maneuvering the Dallas between the Red October and the Alpha.

Jonesy taking his headphones off moments before torpedo impact was such a subtle shot. This movie is a masterpiece. We had it so good in the 90s.

Both captains taking turns to show they’re capable was a nice touch in the film.

James, Sean & Sam will live forever in film.

I didn't realize their were so many famous faces in this movie

Scott Glenn’s character is who you want on your team

I love everything about this final fight.

- Ramius' genius tactics borne out of his expert knowledge of the technology and the tactics of the Soviet Union ( closing the distance to the torpedo before it armed)
- the XO of the Dallas, the second in command, proving he's ready for his own command by pulling another daring tactic saving the October and both crews by letting her fly
- the Captain of the Dallas pulling yet another amazing tactic on an unfamiliar boat and killing the enemy with their own weapon
- Ramius shutting up after they got the saboteur and returning to the bridge in a critical situation, he could have taken back control of his own ship but he realized it was a critical situation and a change of command might have killed them all ( no ego)

I know this movie inside out but have watched it at least once a year since it came out, such an awesome movie start to finish.

“Andrei, you’ve lost ANOTHER submarine?!”

Connery to Baldwin: "Be careful what you shoot at".

Love Scott Glenn’s calmness.  Right full rudder, thirty degree down angle.

Pennywise was in the Russian Navy before he became a concierge in New York where he pursued Kevin McCallister.

Commander Mancuso is a bad ass.

RIP TIM CURRY😪

The acting, the eyebrows, the subtle shifts... we don't have that anymore.
